When you go to Amsterdam, you have got to visit this little store. It is two minutes walk from the floating flower market, and well worth finding. The chips are cooked and salted fresh, and you can have them with any number of sauces, or like me, plain. Either way, they are superb! You'll kick yourself if you don't try... More

These frites are perfect: crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, never greasy or oversalted, with the perfect dose of sauce(s)/onions on top. Forget the double-frying--most self-respecting fritestands have this part down--sauce dosing is the dark art of the master fritemonger. Too much fritessauce, and the frites will be a soggy, gag-inducing mush halfway down. Too little and there... More

Stumbled upon this place whilst wandering around Amsterdam. There was a queue - which to me bodes well, once we made it to the front of the line had to wait a further 2 mins, all this just for chips! It was well worth the wait though. Best fries I've ever had. Crispy crunchy with real soft potato in the... More

These aren't the best fries ever but they're good and the price is great. We came near closing and there was barely a line at all—just 2 people in front of us. And in 5 minutes, we had our cone. If you just want a snack, a medium cone (€2.70) was just right for two people. Sauces are an extra... More

These were very true-to-form for Belgian frites: nice and crispy with a great selection of sauces. They have three different sizes and they are fairly priced. Wonderful afternoon snack while walking around town. Frites and drinks are all they serve so don't count on this for a meal.

Great french fries. Price has gone up a lot in the last few years, but still an affordable good snack.

I have been coming to this place for about 45 years, since i was a little boy and came here with my mom. It is a tiny place, with long lines but the wait is definitely worth it. They only sell one snack, and that is french fries, or more correctly, the Dutch/Belgium version of them, Patat Frites. We Dutch... More

We were in Amsterdam for 3 nights, we had frites from here for lunch 3 days running. So perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, just a joy to eat. We like them with sate sauce. Take them to Spui Square for a bench to sit and eat them on. The pigeons will hang about but they won't get any... More
