The line itself gets you going - but unfortunately they are very average. Arguably only half a notch above McDonalds fries or chips as the reviewers of this French Fries Haven have gushed about... Thinking of trying them again with another sauce - but do i really want to waste another 2 euros...

Best fries ever. Period. Miles ahead of what I considered amazing fries (the ones at Antoine in Brussels), these ones are accompanied by great sauces (their homemade Flemish mayo is delicious). It is just a take-away stall and they just make fries, and they make them great. Open till late usually. Worth the trip.

We just love the chips from this hole in the wall place just between Spui Square and the Kalverstraat. My husband always has his plain, I tend to go for mayo on mine, but I did try the Sate Sauce and that was delicious too. The frites are twice fried which gives them a lovely crispy on the outside, fluffy... More

Excellent frites with plenty of choices of sauce to go with it. There's always a queue but you never have to wait too long and the frites are worth the wait. The only drawback is that it closes around 17.00 I think.

I am surprised that there are no reviews yet for this as I have read that this is the place for the best chips in Amsterdam and it's mentioned on the forum here. They are certainly good, served fresh, hot and in paper cones with a variety of toppings. Queues can build up as it seems to be a popular... More

Very - Very good potatoes. I tried 4 different stores for fries in Amsterdam. Those were the best. Very crispy at the outside but soft at the inside. I tried them plein and with mayo, both good. The only problem is that the store closes at 5 or 6pm. So you have to hurry up. Close to the flower market... More
