There really are NO BETTER FRIES!

You really have to try these Fries, none in Amsterdam compare, in terms of freshness, flavour, atmosphere (from the kiosk window, you feel the excitement before you taste it), and the sheer variety of sauces. No wonder 14 months later the flavour is still in my mouth, the burning gums from the... read more

The fries were pretty good, but the sauces were excellent. We tried the peanut, piccalilli, and curry ones, and I can say all of them deserve to be tasted. Located in city center, it's a good idea to go there for a bite to eat during your visit to Amsterdam.

Crunchy yummy chips..no need to add salt. Wouldn't recommend the sauces (cold and syrupy). Just have plain chips or add vinegar for a lovely snack as you stroll around the shops.

This is really the best place in Amsterdam to go and get very fresh and well fried Flemish Fries (chips in the UK) Very nice sauses. Best as it is not a restaurant but just a window, to get your fresh Fries on a sunny day, walk to the Spui and sit on a bench to enjoy! My favorite saus... More

Also the widest varieties of sauces to dip it in. This place is well known so if there's no line like on the photo be sure to take advantage.

I used to frequent this place 30 years ago and was delighted to discover that the chips with mayonnaise are as good as ever. A queue is always a good sign.

Best chips I've ever had, I had the classic ketchup and Mayo, husband had sautsaus which is satay. Yummy! Special bonus was being able to shelter from the rain in the bar directly across. Great!

I wasn't going to add to the 400 plus reviews about how great these frites are but reading some of the poor/average reviews I thought I'd add to the acclaim. These are great frites. I live in NY right down the street from Belgium Frites and I've traveled through Belgium. So I have had good and bad and in between....... More

Okay, so it's just fried potatoes. But if that's what you're in the mood for, as we were around 7:30 one evening, and you're anywhere in this neighborhood, try these. We walked from our hotel nearby, getting to the walk-up-only window JUST in time to get the last of the fries for that day (a testimony to how popular this... More
