The food was delicious, we started with 4 small mazets selected from a plate of around 15 mazets, for main dish we had fish and lamb dishes wonderfully cooked. All Accompanied with very good turkish rose wine. Listen to the resturant staff recomendations you'll not be disappointed. Ask to sit in the garden balcony next to the canal, eating there... More

They always serve a superb, fresh meal. Located near the rijksmuseum served by Avery friendly staff. Excellent value on everything you order. Ball means eat at this superb location.

My wife and I made a reservation for our first night on our recent trip to Amsterdam. It was such an outstanding experience that we immediately made a reservation for our last night in the city. First off, the food is excellent--wonderful mezes and the best grilled fish I've ever eaten. Second, the service is quite good. Third, if the... More

Each time we visit Amsterdam (3/4 times a year) you will find us eating here. The cuisine is genuine Turkish with menu selections that were served to the Ottoman rulers. The duck breast, the mezzes, are wonderful. In the warmer weather there is a terrace on a canal. We love it.

In an area of plentiful restaurants of varying quality I happened upon this restaurant, tipped off by trip advisor and was not disappointed. Pleasant formal restaurant with attentive and welcoming staff, starters of liver and salad good, mains of a type of koftas excellent, a beer and half a carafe of Turkish wine and coffee for less than 40 euros... Rather nondescript looking from the street. No sidewalk cafe. You must walk up several steps to enter Levant. Once inside, the ambiance is so warm and inviting. About 20 tables, all candlelit, soft music, ideal for a relaxing meal. Sit back and be prepared for a delicious, fresh meal with friendly, efficient service. We started with a bottle of wine,... Visited the restaurant because it was lose to the hotel.. lucky us!! We got in for dinner without reservation. The place was practically full, but the owner found a place for us, even if we had a little baby. We tried some cold traditional starters, very good. What we really found great were the lamb dishes, i suggest them to... More

During our weekend visit to Amsterdam on Kingsday we visited Levant Restaurant on the Sunday afternoon. What a germ of a Turkish Restaurant. We walked in between lunch and dinner and it was no problem to the owner. He politely informed us that we are welcome to sit down, but that for the first 30 minutes he will not be... More

Although on a major street very close to the Rijksmuseum, Levant is easy to miss. But, if you walk up the few steps and pass through the door, you'll be met by a grand interior (complete with starched table cloths), friendly, attentive service and perhaps even - depending where you sit - a view over the street in front or...
