Solid thai food

It's fair to judge a thai restaurant on its pad thai. It's a pretty handy tool of comparison, no? My girlfriend and I both ordered a pad thai, I think the price was 13 euro. It was very tasty - the noodles were slightly oily (in a good way) and the chicken was well cooked. Only complaint is that... read more

I take away from here often and am usually very pleased. Decided to eat in this time and encountered a few very unfortunate incidents. Charged for what seemingly was tap water (we ordered water, which was served in glasses without a bottle) - the bill also had no prices next to any of the listed beverages. Charged for extra bowl... Delicious food for a really decent price. Not in central amsterdam but instead in East amsterdam. Nice employees

Stumbled across this place as staying nearby , so glad we did , stunning fresh tasty food. Could not fault anything about our visit. One of the best restaurants we have ever visited. We didn't want to eat in the more touristy areas and this is set in a more residential local area and out of the way which suited... More

By far the best Thai in town. Much choice in dishes, also for veggies. Pin is not possible here but a cash machine is next door. People who get take out need to walk through the small restaurant which gives a bit of a chaotic atmosphere so I prefer take out here instead of having dinner in the restaurant itself.... More

Despite its unfortunate name which some may find slightly racist, it has to be said the Thaicoon is one of the finest Thai restaurants I have ever been to. We arrived at 6:30pm and the restaurant was already virtually full. So it as advisable to book in advance if you can. I'm glad we didn't order a starter as the... More

Last night we visited Thaicoon again, maybe for the 10th time already and again the food was high quality, extremely tasty, fresh ingredients and great service with a smile!!!! The best Thai food we have eaten outside of Thailand.....The panang curry is my favorite! Keep on cooking and we will be back again!

I have been to this restaurant twice and was not disappointed. It is a local restaurant away from the touristic city center and the owners serve authentic Thai food. Both times I had the chicken in Pandan leaves as a starter and it was delicious. Main dishes are served in big portions. So if you are not too hungry, two... More

This restaurant was a fifteen minute walk from our hotel near Oosterpark. It's situated in a residential neighbourhood and from the outside, doesn't look much, just a run of the mill local cafe. Don't let that put you off though, as who cares what the outside looks like with food this good? It was heaving with locals at half six... More

Amsterdam Oost is a mostly residential neighborhood that does not have much in the way of touristic sights to see, but a friend who lives in A'dam took us here last night and we ate some of the best Thai food we've ever had in a homey atmosphere with a lot of apparently satisfied locals. We asked the owner and... More
