I love eating steaks, my favorite restaurant is usually Morton's but I have also eaten at Wolfgang Puck. I must say the steak at CAU was equal to both Morton’s and Wolfgang Puck but at only 50-60% of the cost! The filet steak was perfectly cooked and nearly melted in my mouth. My wife had the pork tempura and loved... More

Great restaurant if you are looking for steak. Staff were friendly and the choice was brilliant. Restaurant is expensive but you get what you pay for. Side are large so Id recommend sharing. Would recommend!

We ate at Cau, on two occasions. Great food, great service. Upstairs has a great atmosphere and is not as rushed downstairs. All sides are extra, and the waiters do not always advise you of this but still a great place to eat.

While the menu read well, the staff are friendly, and the surroundings fine, the fact that they don't tell you until after it's ordered that some dishes take longer than 30-40 minutes to prepare is not great when their are hungry children to feed. When it arrived our food was mediocre at best, and largely disappointing. Very overpriced for what... More

Sat upstairs, both ordered rump steak, baked potato and a salad to share. Steak was really tasty as was everything else. Very good service and busy atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Staff were friendly. Food was lovely. All sides are extra cost, chips, sauce, mushrooms etc so be careful what you order or you could have a large bill to pay.

I visited there withy family from Argentina, and we enjoyed the food and service tremendously. It's not one of the (surprisingly) many fake Argentine steakhouses that serve expensive and bad pseudo-Argentinian food. They serve great quality food and the service was one of the best we received the whole week in Amsterdam. Great experience!

My partner and I have visited the Cau in Blackheath, London, we found it be average at best, and so were hesitant but really very hungry when we stumbled past its Amsterdam sister on our first evening in this great city. Can I honestly say I was so pleased we did, the food was awesome! And so were the cocktails,... More

Our taxi driver tipped us to this restaurant as one of his favorites. The menu was interesting, the food delicious and the service over the top excellent! Even brought out a birthday treat for the birthday we were celebrating.
