Poor staff

We visited this restaurant on the basis that it was busy so therefore food must be okay. As soon as walking through the door you are told by the waiter sit there, and thrown a menu. The food is average and relatively good value, but there's a feeling your just cash cows, wanted in and out as quick... read more

We went in for lunch early Feb 2016, 2 couples just looking for a nice Italian, based on the place being busy, first the food was well below average, one of us has a serious seafood allergy and was served a pizza with pieces of salmon, yes really after specifying this,it was just luck that she spotted this and did not end up in... Nice restaurant near dam square. The place is worm and the stuff is friendly. Pizza is very tasty and on a very good price, compared to our experience on other restaurants in Amsterdam!!! Very good choice for a quick and tasty dinner!!!!

I regularly go in to restaurants simply on the basis that they are busy. I need to be a bit more discerning. The quality of the food we were served was average at best. The most annoying aspect of our visit was the fact that we were looking forward to a nice meal and a chance to relax. Everything was... More

We visited here for lunch on a Saturday, it's very cramped inside the restaurant, there's too many tables. My boyfriend ordered a beer which he couldn't drink as it tasted vile and the waiter was very blunt. When given the bill (our meal was €35) there's the option to say how much of a tip you're leaving, we put nothing... More

Great place for pizza. This restaurant, despite the fact that is on a touristic place, serves up fabulous, fresh pizza. Well worth...

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. The waiter was not prepared to engage in queries to do with some very strange "light" wine we were served. The pizzas were quite good, but the meat in the burgers was of poor quality and special of the day dishes - stroganoff for example made with strange sauce that resembled something... More

Firstly just like to say we've never left a bad review and we've ate in some dodgy places, but this place was so bad it's getting our first! Went in on Saturday evening, it was quite late but that shouldn't be an excuse for disgusting food and appalling drinks! Both had fillet steak, one medium-rare which was fine and one... More

Worse restaurant ever.. We were walking and we saw a lot of people there. Crowded means good right? No!!! Staff was impolite. They couldn't wait for a second to choose what to drink. Dishes were really small and not very tasty except the pizzas. So if you see it just don't go.

The food here is really tasty! I had the salmon fettuccine and my boyfriend had a fish/seafood pizza. Both were very nice. The only problem with this place is you are bashing elbows with the couple next to you however groups of 3+ who would occupy a table of 4+ probably wouldn't have this problem

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
