On our first night in Amsterdam we dropped into the Leidseplein restaurant district for something to eat, Mr Tongs caught our eye straight away with its authentic architecture and decor, not dissimilar to that of China town in London, the place oozes charm and a relaxed atmosphere. I asked the lovely, attentive and friendly waitress for the coldest Tsingtao they... More

Must try Indonesia BaBi Pangang @ this restaurant. A slightly spicy pork dish with sweet Ginger sauce. This dish can be bundled with 5 other dishes at 30 Eu for 2 persons. Highly recommended.

We popped in by chance as all the other restaurant's near by, had men outside of them 'begging' passers by to come into their establishments. To avoid further harassment we nipped inside. In the first room was a large party of maybe twenty friends, we made our way into the second room where couples were dinning. The friendly staff showed... More

My husband and I had been sightseeing and lost track of time. It was around 3:30pm when we realized we hadn't had lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were nicely treated by a young waitress that I so regret not having asked her name. She was just to nice and well humored. We had some spring... More

Went here on the recommendation of local bar staff. Always like to try chinese outside of uk to see if it's just the uk that adore thick sauces and fried stuff. This was average , nothing special on our menu, cheap enough but with great service. Located in a busy area with lots of choice but it seemed all for... More

by far the best crispy duck we ever had, service could have been better but the food is outstanding. Restaurant is situated in the busy area which is very nice. Definitely its a place where i would recommend everyone to visit.

Food was okay. Nothing special. Service was subpar. We went with their special "Crispy Duck" which was overcooked, as well as a vegetarian which was also overcooked.

Mr Tong prides itself on being a veteran restaurant founded in 1948, but you could not tell from the food or service. The food was average at best, and the service was terrible. One waitress actually told us off for placing a plate on an empty table next to us saying "it has already been cleaned". Our table was too... More

Stopped here to keep our son happy as he'd seen the 'Crispy Duck our specialty" sign earlier and was desperate to try it. They weren't wrong about this as it was amazingly crispy and huge! My wife and I both had different sizzling plate deals which were big, delicious and came with a number of other things. This is in... More
