Hinted by locals, we enjoyed a coffee/light lunch break while cycling around the city. Off the tourist track, the cafe offers great-tasting coffee, cakes and lunch dishes. Seemed to be popular with students (armed with upscale smartphones/laptops, good wi-fi too ;-) The veggie chili was the best I've eaten and the lentil soup got a positive review as well.

Great place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Food was very solid, but the coffee was clearly their specialty. Latte was great. One pour over was a little on the weak side, but tried a different roast the next day and it was much better.

The place is nicely situated on Frederik's square in the center of Amsterdam. It looks like sort of a lounge/coffee saloon but very cosy and without the industrial feeling of Starbucks. The coffee is absolutely delicious! The red cake (don't remember the name) was probably a bit dry but very light and tasty. Their sandwiches are simple but all with... More

We have visited this great cafe for breakfast 3 times as it is 2 streets from the houseboat we rented. Nestled within a small neighborhood and many local shops this place has a wonderful selection of quick breakfast options. Try the fresh mint infused hot tea. This has become my go to breakfast drink. Staff is very friendly and the... More

Found this whilst wandering around. Excellent coffee and (huge) cakes, so had to have seconds of both. Very friendly/helpful owner chatty about roasting. Go there.

This cafe was recommended and we went for breakfast. A lovely atmosphere, good choice. We had a large coffee each, large freshly squeezed orange juice each and a breakfast toastie each. Came to around €24. Good value, shabby chic interior. Only accept credit or debit card, does not accept cash any more so be prepared..

One of the best cups of coffee you can get in Amsterdam, very homey and cosy and the pastries they make on the spot are very delicious.

I go to the other location on Haarlemmerdijk and they are the most friendliest, helpful people that work here that I have encountered in Amsterdam! I was looking for a Turkish coffee brewing cup (sorry not the best description of it) and one of the workers there gave me his since he rarely used it! I was so impressed with... More

Great shop, great coffee, great people. I had a superb two shots of espresso, machiato, this morning. They roast a perfect blend, also for sale (called Mokum).
