The food here is absolutely faultless, it was the nicest Italian I have ever had. The portions are large and the effort into the food is just beautiful the flavours are so lovely. The only downfall, we paid the bill at the end of the night and just as we left the staff came charging after us shouting you haven't... More

We had a hard time finding a place that didn't look like a beer hall or pub, but a proper restaurant and we stumbled over this place. It's quite small, but it's very nice. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was delicious! We had a pizza, which was yummy, great crust! And a Bruschetta and Mozzeralla with... More

Restaurant looks nice, the menu is ok and fairly cheap. The food is not the best, the pizza is not really good, so I think there are better places to go, but it's a really busy neighborhood and nice area to walk around

Walked into this so called Italian restaurant. Staff were all from Italy, but the food was not. We ordered escargot in garlic sauce, beef carpaccio tomato and onion salad, spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu. Escargot had no garlic taste what so ever, beef carpaccio had no taste at all. I never had to salt my carpaccio. Salad was good, Spaghetti had... More

We found this place while we were wandering around, the place was busy but the staff has been really welcoming giving us a table in less than 15 minutes . The restaurant is really nice with a proper italian vibe, all the staff is italian too and all the waiting staff has been really kind and efficient with us .... More

This was a pleasant restaurant and really good value for money. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The menu was standard Italian fare, but it was well presented.

The restaurant was filled with tourists only, at least I didn't hear any dutch. The staff was extremely friendly, helping and attentive. Unfortunately the food was only "ok". We had some cannelloni (spinach & ricotta and the normal ones). Both dishes lacked a bit of flavour but the meat cannelloni in my opinion were rather tasteless. I think there are... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
