Best indian restaurant

This is the most authentic Indian food I have ever eaten in a restaurant (I am indian)! The people working here (I think it was the owners of the place) were all lovely and very welcoming. Restaurant had a lovely feel to it, even though it was quite small.

Since I live just down the street from this place I thought I'd give it a go. And I was very disappointed. They're pricey and the food is not what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. All the curries had strange, unnatural bright colours. But the taste was bland and not pleasant. I won't be going back here.

This family run Indian restaurant was warm and cozy with delicious food. The samosa was very flavorful with a thin skin. We had the special curry which tasted home made and perfectly spiced. The brother and sister who waited on us so were so attentive. We loved this restaurant.

This small Indian restaurant is situated along Hartenstraat in Amsterdam. For those non-Dutch travellers, it may be nice to know that this street was used in the Dutch film Hartenstraat in 2014. A cool place to be! The staff were warm and friendly, especially the daughter in the family who looked after us very well during our meal. The menu... More

The restaurant is close to Dam square in not so busy street. The restaurant is small and run by authentic Punjabi Indian family. The food was excellent , we were a group of eight tourist looking for some good Indian food and were glad that we came here. We tried some starters in both Veg. and non veg. , followed... More

After walking for quite a while, my husband and I finally settled on this little Indian eatery. We sat outside in one of two little tables with a view of the bustling street and activity. The waitress was so kind and accommodating. She made some suggestions and we were not at al disappointed. We shared several dishes with a side... More

Either the reviews are fake or most of the reviewers have little clue what Indian food tastes like. Lazy cooking using cheap ingredients. I wouldn't be surprised if the sauce came from a packet. The lamb dopiaza tasted more like British style gravy than a fragrant, aromatic Indian dish. Tourist trap and easy to fool inexperienced Dutch palates. If this... More

Compared to other Indian restaurants I've been to, the food was really light and fresh. Service was extremely friendly and helfpul. I love spicy food so I found spices somehow lacking in the menu, but if you like mild food this is definitely an Indian restaurant you can go to.

Very accommodating restaurant with lovely staff. I dined alone but the food was great. Non meat eaters have plenty of choices. Very pretty room. Nine streets neighborhood. Would love to bring my parents here.
