Excellent food and good service

The food here is excellent. The staff are very friendly. It's a bit cramped, but most European restaurants are like that.

Tucked in the Jordaan neighborhood, close to the Anne Frank house, we stumbled across this cute little restaurant serving a variety of tandoori and traditional meat based Indian dishes. Vegetarian selections are also available. Mild to moderately spicy, we had the Chicken Tikka, Palak Paneer, Samosas and extra helpings of naan. One of our crew had not eaten Indian before... More

While the meal had good flavors, the sauces were too watery. When you put rice on your plate in an Indian restaurant, the lower part of the rice should not be floating in water. We had the butter chicken which was flavorful, but the chicken could have been more tender. The palak paneer was once again excellently flavored, but was... More

It's just near the pretty 9 streets area, orders Persian style chicken tikka biryani and taste seems not bad however quantity is too less (at least for the price charged and comparable to the other restaurants). Ordered sweet lassi and it turned out to be very dilute. However service is good and owners are attentive.

It so nice to taste real indian food in the Netherlands. High quality: balance of flavours, fresh products, indiginious recepies. And the owner is a great and welcoming. Gem of indian culture in Amsterdam.

This is the most authentic Indian food I have ever eaten in a restaurant (I am indian)! The people working here (I think it was the owners of the place) were all lovely and very welcoming. Restaurant had a lovely feel to it, even though it was quite small.

Since I live just down the street from this place I thought I'd give it a go. And I was very disappointed. They're pricey and the food is not what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. All the curries had strange, unnatural bright colours. But the taste was bland and not pleasant. I won't be going back here.

This family run Indian restaurant was warm and cozy with delicious food. The samosa was very flavorful with a thin skin. We had the special curry which tasted home made and perfectly spiced. The brother and sister who waited on us so were so attentive. We loved this restaurant.

This small Indian restaurant is situated along Hartenstraat in Amsterdam. For those non-Dutch travellers, it may be nice to know that this street was used in the Dutch film Hartenstraat in 2014. A cool place to be! The staff were warm and friendly, especially the daughter in the family who looked after us very well during our meal. The menu... More
