Lunch

Very accessible to our hotel, came as a recommendation from a sales clerk at nearby shop. Service, slow, pasta was very good. Cute cafe, I would recommend.

Food very good ,service average , price high . Large outdoor seating in sun in a pleasant part of town. If service improved greatly I would go back

We came here for Sunday lunch. The waitress reluctantly wiped the outdoor tables wet from the rain. Waited 45 min for the food, no bread. The food came in small portions and was just plain food, despite the high price. This restaurant could learn a lot from its neighbouring brasseries. We willl not visit again. Instead we continue to go... More

Nice food (but price is too high), no client focus of staff. Arrogant and not welcome! Not a surprise half of the seats are empty.. Not a second time...

Food was excellent. Many locals were eating there, usually a good sign, which it was. Atmosphere is urban and a little on loud side.

Tiles on walls make the sound bounce more. Toilets not clean and missing paper. Chips served with green on potatoes.. Which the cook picked up and threw in his mouth... No new serving even though most were left. Asked many times for a bill. Not that cheap... Robertos at Hilton was close to same price for a main course.

We decided to have lunch outside on a not very busy day. Nevertheless service took very long and disregarded several other tables on the terrace outside. The waiters were nice, but need to focus a bit more on working the tables than on entertaining a small set of tables. We ordered some wine, a penne arrabbiata and a risotto, for... More

We chanced upon this place having visited the museums nearby and seeking a late lunch. We chose this place as it looks trendy and it was busy. We chose to sit outside. The tables are small and awkward to sit at. The service is horrendous here! It took ages to get the attention of any of the waiters. The staff... More

We had a lovely Sunday brunch.Eggs Norvegian, tuna sandwich, rocket salad, croque madame.Just what we needed. The place was busy and the service a bit rushed but still very efficient and professional. I would recommend that if you are in the neighbourhood.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
