Was referred to this place by a local. Since it is close to my apartment I stopped by and was very impressed. I hear the royal family buys their Christmas Cake here. Now it is a weekly stop for me.

Wonderful traditional patisserie. The place is tiny and take away only and clearly very popular, people kept coming in. We had apple tart and chocolate mousse cake, both were excellent. Also bought their cheese and veal croquettes for dinner, and liked them, even if it is not my favourite dish. The service was excellent and my son even got a... More

YOU MUST GO HERE!!!!!!! This is an absolutely delightful little patisserie! A fantastic range of cakes and chocolates. It was perfect, right down to the bell sounding as you go in. Very old school! We had a chocolate cake and an apple tart. Both were sublime. Very highly reccommended.

We chanced upon this place as we were staying close by in the Mercure. What a find. Fabulous cakes and pastries. Our favourite were the Almond curls which were a touch expensive but were the best we've ever eaten. Bought more to take home. Very good service though occasionally there maybe a bit of a wait. But well worth it.... More

Took a little while to find but wow we weren't disappointed when we did. Very reasonable prices for such lovely and delicate cakes. It was difficult to choose what cake I wanted but thankfully the lady serving was helpful in helping me choose by explaining what each was. I chose the cake with marzipan with a biscuit base and fresh... More

I felt strange when I entered the Pattisserie at Vijzelgracht 16 in the Amsterdam centrum. Heaps of cakes, a really wide variety of cookies offered, but my asking for Croquetten! A German weekly news had drawn my attention to the fact that they are preparing and selling in the Netherlands croquettes with the pastry-cook provided that they don't represent only... More

Have visited this cake shop twice now and been very impressed with both the service and the product. The chocolate cake is one of the best things I've ever tasted and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth :-)

Beautiful and delicious cakes and sweets. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the bakers named Nick. A passionate pastry chef. A "must" stop when in Amsterdam.

One of the most well known pastry shops in Amsterdam and with good reason. Amazing and beautiful cookies and pastries.
