In a neighborhood that is overrun with honky-tonk restaurants aimed at a very large tourist population, Odette is a oasis. The food is light and interesting well suited for keeping Amsterdam's in their skinny jeans. We travel with vegetarians who are routinely forced to consume risotto. There was a nice selection of vegetarian options. One thing though that visitors should... More

If the weather is OK, get a table outdoors and watch the world float (or cycle) by. We had a delicious fine dining experience for just under 50 euro per head including a bottle of wine between us. Everything was fresh and tasty, well presented and the service was impeccable. Good choices for gluten free, too. Thoroughly recommended.

Organic and tasty. Located on a canal on a quiet side street. We had the eggplant ravioli and omelet with cheese. Paired with a cold local beer this turned out to be a nice surprise for us that we would highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

We sat at an exterior table. The waitress was welcoming, and a good adviser. The plate of cheese is really nice, the Apple juice is fresh, and the sound of the river relaxing. A nice spot, if you have the time to enjoy it.

My cousins and I lucked upon this restaurant as it was near our hotel. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we returned for a second, something we don't normally do. I enjoyed everything I ordered-- a lovely steamed artichoke with creamy dipping sauce, a delicious smoked salmon with lentils and one of the best desserts I've ever had--... More

Great meal and good service. Ambience supurb. Lovely location on the canal. Only negative we had shrimps and mussels in Harissa and the mussels a bit on the small side. Reasonably priced. Lynne and Peter Australia

We picked this place from the Lonely Planet guide and were not disappointed. Its not a buffet but an interesting cafe near the canal with a warm feel and food that is prepared with heart. It attracts many locals plus blowins like us from out of town so book if you can. Its good value and has what I call... More

My Dutch friend recommended this little gem and everything was incredible; the setting and the food. This was also one of the few places in Amsterdam that had great herb tea (not the gross Lipton bag tea that is all you can find everywhere else). The carrot and chocolate cake aren divine.

I have been to this place several times but never got warm with it. Today I finally reached that point. Friendly and attentive service, the best Yoghurt ever, actually pretty good coffee. Sitting in front of the store when the weather is nice.
