Very Good

My family and I were in the mood to eat meat and selected this restaurant for their reviews. Food and service was very good and would definitely return.

We had dinner here after visiting some of the museums. It's 250m from Museum Plein, a place were all the other restaurants are either overpriced or of poor tourist quality. This place on the other hand was good, with fresh day menus and affordable wines. Definitely worth another visit.

Restaurant staff was attentive, Mushroom soup was good. The entrecôte was a bit tough though. Dessert section we had was good. Overall it was a good dinner although the gap in between the starter and main course took a while to come out. Very near the concert hall if you're trying to catch a pre show dinner.

Food was great, service was slow considering they're playing on a quick bite as their name. It was extremely warm and there's nothing that was done about it (AC was kept off, no windows or doors opened).

We recently visited this restaurant for an early evening meal (by European standards) as they are located near to our accommodation. Although there were a number of reservations due to a concert that night at the nearby Concertgebouw, we were promptly seated. I ordered the lamb rack and my husband had the beef filet. Both meals were delicious with good... More

We just came off of a three week Viking Riverboat cruise with a bottomless variety of excellent meals. Tonight's dinner at Bouf was the best of the trip. My wife ordered the sea bass special of the night, I ordered the rack of lamb, Service was friendly. The wine was excellent. Loved the lamb!

A friend took us for an evening meal at Bouf, and it was the best I had in Amsterdam, with an excellent vegetarian main dish. The tomato soup was fabulous!

Food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ford is cooked fresh so you may have a little wait but well worth it and the different breads you are offered while you wait are delicious.Went here three nights on the trot and would have gone again had we not been going home. This is a must... More

Our hotel recommended this place and it was very good. Also, nicely priced, a good wine selection and attentive service. We had a chicken salad plate and it was fantastic. Our aspargus soup was delicious, also. Very charming little place, worth visiting.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
