In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

Love the pizza!

+ Great (thin- rome style) pizza! Very good service. Its usually very busy so u need to reserve in advance. And once you are there you have to try the greatest of all tiramisu..:) - only one chair for baby and that one does not have a protection bar

Great thin crust pizza with creative toppings. Romantic and authentic ambiance in a cute neighborhood in Amsterdam. Must call ahead and make reservations. Worth the wait!

Never tried a pizza so fresh and full of flavour, although we ordered margaritas they were delicious. There's also the option to eat at the restaurant across the street or to eat on a bar stool at a high table. Friendly service and fairly cheap. Would go to Amsterdam just for that pizza!

You will not get better Pizza in Amsterdam (probably in the world for that matter). Thin crust, inventive toppings as well as classical. Great value and excellent quality.

We went there on saturday night, couple of weeks ago, while pizza ok service was hectic and rude.these days when you can basically everywhere round the globe find good pizza ,service is the point of difference, which in this case let us down.

Very busy, so you'd be advised to book - we just squeezed into a place at the bar. Good range of large and authentic Italian pizzas at reasonable prices, a few good beers on tap, and not far from Anne Frank's House if you need sustenance before or after. Recommended.

If you're looking for La Perla lingerie, don't search out this restaurant --- it's only got the pizza. And it's good and thin crust with quality meats & cheese. Funny thing about the dough. I actually prefer the pizza dough from Pazzi's Eerste Looiersdwarsstraat 4. I think it tastes less 'preservative' and fresher. But you be the judge and try... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
