Description: In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

Small pizzeria located in the heart of the Jordaan area but what a great taste. You can either order and eat as takeaway or sit at the restaurant in the corner and eat there. Thin crusty pizza with lots of buffalo/muzarella cheese and other toppings cooked in a big wooden oven.

It's not difficult to throw together a good pizza - which you can see when you watch the prep here but they are generous with ingredients, a crispy thin base and minimal sauce prevent the mistakes seen at the chain pizza options. Can recommend both the four cheese and the prosciutto but with an average of €13 each which only... More

I had here the best pizzas I've ever tried outside Italy. They also serve good beer, nice tiramisu and the atmosphere is very nice.

There's certainly no where better in Amsterdam, and La Perla equals my memory of pizzas in Naples and Rome. The mozzarella is the authentic deal brought over from Italy and it makes the difference. They also sell beer from the excellent microbrewery Brouwerij 't Ij- a perfect accompaniment.

We got a recommendation to go and eat at the La perla from a local friend, and it was a wonderful recommendation. They serve a tasty cheese toast and an amazing pizza. The service is very pleasant. You should go and have a bite!

We visited on a Saturday at around 1530 looking for a late lunch. We were told that we had to wait until 1600 to order pizza (although the fire was on and a couple who arrived 5 minutes after us got a pizza) so we chose from the lunch menu. I had the pasta special (capriccio and pear ravioli) and... More
