In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

Woow pizzas

One way to describe the restaurant is to translate the name, and you get "the pearl", a good summary. It is really a surprise hiding in the Jordaan part of Amsterdam. Very good pizza from a wood fired oven. Enjoyed a Quattro Formaggio at a decent price. Recommended place in the Jordaan neighbourhood.

Having visited the Spanish restaurant the previous day we arrived at this family restaurant on Saturday evening. The staff were amazingly friendly and the limited menu was outstanding. Indeed the staff even altered a starter to suit my partner. All very reasonably priced. Along with an affordable bottle of Chianti this was a highlight of a long weekend.

Great little pizza place in a cute street with a couple of pubs, La Perla is a gem. Service was polite and efficient, pizza was amazing. The waitress recommended a nice cheeky white to go with and that was great too. Check this place out if you visit Amsterdam you won't be disappointed.

The team working there are fantastic! Warm, helpful and friendly people. The pizza is delicious, the appetizers were flavorful and generous. They brought us water to go with our bottle of wine!

if you want a real pizza while you are in Amsterdam, then i highly recommend visiting La Perla. The quality of food was excellent, although maybe a little pricey, however we did have a first course and a bottle of wine... and a couple of additional glasses.. hahaha... great restaurant, really nice staff, great atmosphere and great pizza!!!

We found this restaurant while we were wandering in this neighborhood. My daughter had a Margarita pizza and I had one with prosciutto, arugula and Parmesan. Her pizza looked good but my pizza was fantastic. I would highly recommend. We sat at a long table with other diners. It could easily work for a family.

Nice little place ticked in a corner of Tunisstraat. Very busy though most of the times is a testimony to the good food. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, our pizza was served in about 10 minutes. ANd it was a great pizza, freshly baked oozing with flavours. The serivce was attentive, quick and smiling.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
