In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

La Perla: Pizza or Italian Lingerie -- your choice.

If you're looking for La Perla lingerie, don't search out this restaurant --- it's only got the pizza. And it's good and thin crust with quality meats & cheese. Funny thing about the dough. I actually prefer the pizza dough from Pazzi's Eerste Looiersdwarsstraat 4. I think it tastes less... read more

Came here on our first night in Amsterdam. Warmly welcomed to an inviting and lively atmosphere. The restaurant was full inside but it was a nice evening so we sat outside and soaked up the last few rays of the sun. Service was prompt, friendly and very efficient. Complimentary olives were a nice touch. Food was delicious, we both had... More

We came across this wonderful little place while wandering around Amsterdam, and had the best lunch we had while we were there -- fresh, interesting, excellent service. Highly recommended.

This is very good wood oven pizza. Thin crispy crust. Plus a nice carafe of white wine. We went with the Carciofo to try and keep in light. And since we shared the pie... it worked light on portion control also. So... if you're hungry, order a pie for everyone. We went here early on a Saturday night after a... More

We were lucky to grab a place at the bar in this popular restaurant, and we were happy we did. The complimentary olives to start (asked for an received a refill as well) was a really nice touch. We shared a nice bottle of wine, one of the best pizzas we have eaten outside of Italy, and ate wonderful bread... More

This place is amazing. Me and my husband went without reservation (recommended!) and the staff promptly arranged a place for us on the counter. The service on the bar was perfect and I'm not a big fan of pizza, but theirs is fantastic!

When my husband, toddler and I stumbled upon this family friendly gem with food that looked too good to be true, we were over the moon. We know the drill when dining with kids, eat early with the littles and spare the crowd who want to linger over meals. So, at 6:00pm (I'd say quite early by any standards), we... More

Best pizzas in town. Wood fired oven. You can eat in the take away area or sit in the restaurant across the road.
