In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

Excellent pizza

We scored a table on the sidewalk on a beautiful evening in Amsterdam. La Perla is located in a charming neighborhood and it is fun to sit and watch the world go by as you sip wine and enjoy some fabulous pizza. The staff is great. The pizza crust is super thin and the toppings are fresh and... read more

The pizza in la perla is excellent. I've tried in a few other places in Amsterdam but this one is definitely the best. Prices similar to the other places of this kind but much higher quality. The ingredients are of a very good quality and the menu has a variety of very nice choices. The staff was nice as well.... More

Great pizza place with exciting choices of filling! The porchetta is great. We had it to go, and it was worth the walk and wait!

I was here twice and the pizza in this place is amazing! They are very big and the ingredients seem very fresh. The prices are very affordable and the waiters are very nice. It is located in the Jordaan quarter which is a very nice area of Amsterdam and it is also very close to the Anne Frank's museum for... More

Always thought the best pizza in the world was in Sao Paulo (turkey & catupiry cheese) After visiting La Perla, in Jordaan, I changed my mind. The wood-fired salsiccia pizza is superb!! Ambience coukd be better, and service is a bit slow, but this pizza sure is a must-visit.

Good pizza. Service was nice but rather expensive for what you get. There are mainly only pizzas. 3 pizzas 1 salad and one bottle of still water 55 Euros. It was hot inside sadly as they didn't open majority of windows.

Great thin crust pizza with creative toppings. Romantic and authentic ambiance in a cute neighborhood in Amsterdam. Must call ahead and make reservations. Worth the wait!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
