Nicely run restauarant with lovely food

Ate here Saturday night busy but not too busy, very informed staff who were very polite and interested in the whole process of serving us. Food was varied and a good choice was available, reasonably priced. Overlooked the canal very romantic, would return.

The restaurant serves great breakfast for Hotel Pulitzer. The spread is good and experience fulfilling.

Was there for a business dinner. Service ok; very friendly waiter but not really proactive. Ordered quinoa salad as appetizer and steak for main course. Both were very liberally sprinkled with salt, a comment I echo from other reviewers. Food was otherwise tasty and good, but certainly not better than average. Return visit: no thanks Wine list: mediocre

The hotel area around the restaurant is under construction, so no one will find this restaurant by just passing by. We were referred by a local shop owner who had been there recently. The most reliable way we find restaurants. 238 did not disappoint. Great appetizer selection and main courses. Dessert choices a little sparse. Quiet, upscale room with young... More

Saw scallops on the menu and was instantly tempted. While they were tasty, they were way too salty. A similar situation with the pasta main, really tasty components too much salt. This together with €10 for two bottles of water pushed this down from great to average.

This restaurant is part of the wonderful Hotel Pulitzer. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived and we snagged a window table with a lovely view of the canal. The décor is relaxed and comfortable. The wait staff were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The menu, while small had some interesting choices as did the wine list. The food... More

We came upon this restaurant while trying to find our way to the Nine Streets. (We had turned the wrong way and, in backtracking, found this place which, I think, is in the Hotel Pulitzer.) We were in elegant surroundings with attentive service. I had a delicious Philly cheesesteak sandwich, not in the traditional style. The tender, lean sliced steak... More

THe food was wonderful. We had the breakfast each morning and we had dinner one evening. I thought he breakfast was a bit expensive, but the had a wonder selection of pastry, juices, yogurt, eggs, meat, etc... They made special pancakes for my 7 yr old as a surprise. The other meals were very reasonable & very good. I had... More

We came across this lovely place whilst looking for a place for lunch. We were given a warm welcome by staff and a table by the window, with a great view over the canals. Although some of the prices looked a bit steep, based on our delicious Erwten (Pea) Soup, I can only assume they would be worth it. We... More
