Cosy place

Nice place to have a glass and quite chat. The old furniture give the place a great feeling and relaxed atmosphere. I didn't eat anything except some snacks but they were nice as well.

Went for lunch and it was just what we were looking for. Solid sandwiches, and outdoor seating right along the canal.

We discovered this place one lunchtime and popped in for a meal. This is an old Pharmacy, and the walls have some interesting(!) posters for early 20th Centrury medications, and it has considerable character. The meal was really good. I had probably the best Burger and Fries I've ever had with delicious accompaniments and my wife had a superb Chicken... More

This cafe / bar is very close to the houseboat we have rented in Amsterdam. We went there for a late lunch just after we had arrived from a long journey from home. We were welcomed in a friendly manner, asured that food was still available and sat at a table right by the canal. A great start to our... More

For a pub very good. The food is ok, but of course has no restaurant quality. Good service and location. Nice ambiente.

Called in here on a Sunday evening and was greeted by extremely friendly staff. I had a burger which is one of the best I've ever had. I then helped the kids finish their ribs which were divine. The staff throughout were brilliant. The one down side - I've put about 4lbs on. :)

We had a really good hamburger (the bread was nice to!) and club sandwich. The two girls serving us were friendly. It was nice to sitt by the canal.

Visited last weekend. We ordered a bottle of wine, salmon with salad and burger and fries. Beautifully cooked food, sitting overlooking the canal whiling away the evening. Good thing about the location is at has a bit of bustle but the road is quiet. Cost is reasonable and would have eaten there again if I was staying longer. Staff were... More

Despite other good critics for this bar we were very dissatisfied about the food, the staff and the ambience. We had a table at the waterfront which had a nice view on the Gracht. But the table itself was so dirty that we didn't dare to put our hands on it. Against our hope the waitress didn't clean it. When... More

I have visited this bar before and we were there a couple of times last weekend. It is relaxed and cosy and there is no hassle to leave. The music is not invasive and the staff friendly. We were pleased with the food, the burgers are tasty and fries delicious. The salad last weekend was varied and well balanced with... More
