On entering this restaurant you know you are in for a treat, this restaurant is not highly rated on trip advisor but on a Dutch review site it’s been voted Number one by the locals for years. It has a warm friendly cosy atmosphere. This place has one Michelin star and it shows, you can feel you are in a... More

This small restaurant (with one Michelin *), a bit hidden in trendy neighbourhood De Pijp, is always such a pleasure to visit. The staff is really superb, the menu great, the prices not low but definitely worth it. If you want to treat yourself to a great night of fine dining, this is an excellent choice!

Went there last night and a great experience. One of our party couldn't eat fish. We sent an email early in morning advising the restaurant and they had no problem accommodating the no fish menu. The staff were wonderful. The chef came and discussed the food on a number of occasions and the sommelier was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food... More

Reservations weeks in advance, but worthwhile waiting to get a seat. Small, private and cosy restaurant in living-room atmosphere. Food and wine perfectly matched.

The appetizer and main course were rather pleasant and well cooked! The staff was hurredly taking away our unfinished plates which turn the dining experienced into a fast "train" of courses. Not what you would expect at a 1 michellin restaurant. The amuses were presented in a rather artistic and colorful way yet lacked essence and substance. No good value... More

The food is exquisitely prepared, as one would expect; last we were there, it had a slight bias towards fish. Being a fixed menu is actually liberating in a sense - you know you're getting the experience as designed. The location is great - de Pijp is one of the more interesting and diverse Amsterdam neighbourhoods. The restaurant itself is... More

My husband and I had dinner here and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Amsterdam. We had a table with a view of the kitchen, so my husband was happy watching their quiet, extremely organized preparations. Very good service. Imaginative food using local products. We will return the next time we're in Amsterdam.

In my opinion really no other restaurant in Amsterdam beats this small, cosy one in The Pijp. The food is amazing, it is culinary but not to the point that it is more of a science project than something you enjoy eating. It is just perfect. The guy that does the wine section is really enthusiastic; he sorts out wines... More
