We were looking for a Dutch place to eat when we came across this restaurant. It was full of locals and served great food. I had the fish stew which was excellent. The staff were super friendly, the room was intimate and they even brew their own beer. 100% recommended.

Just had an excellent three course authentic Dutch meal. Very friendly service and not to forget great home brewed beer and very friendly service to boot! Very fairly priced too.

Kop van Jut is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner in the Leidsplein area. The restaurant is very close to tram stations and main roads, very easy to get to. Kop van Jut is a small, cozy, and welcoming restaurant that we happened to find on our last trip to Amsterdam. Service was outstanding and food was great! Karin... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem. Wonderful service, terrific food and best of all authentic ambiance. I recommend the pork schnitzel with pepper sauce! Yum.

Lovely little restaurant with a small but varied menu. The chocolate nut pie was delicious for dessert. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was at capacity so this may be expected. Would recommend booking, it was full by 6.30pm.

We went to this restaurant over 5 years ago and loved it so we were happy to find this reataurant again on this visit. There was no space when we arrived but the waitress promised to fetch us from the bar opposite when there was, which she duly did. It's very small on 2 floors with great atmosphere. The menu... A tiny restaurant with rather limited selection and some daily deals. Heartry service, good own beer, Dutch traditional food and a desert would make your evening complete after sightseeings exaustion. Though expect home style in here. Ok for the city's newcomer.

If you are after some really good Dutch food with a nice intimate feeling and friendly/helpful staff then this is the place. I would highly recommend the giant meatball and mash carrot mix. The Dutch name escapes me. It was filling, killed the munchies right off.

I went to Amsterdam last summer and as I was walking around I got hungry, and saw that restaurant and decided to enter, the place was really nice. Anyway I had some steak and fries and even if it's a pretty common meal, it was really good. I'm from France and french cooks are the best, but that restaurant was... More

I had high hopes after seeing the reviews on here. The home brewed blond beer was excellent, the food was ok - traditional. Service was friendly and leisurely.
