Great Value, Great Sandwich.......enjoyable Breakfast

It didn't hurt that our apartment was only two blocks down the street! Was really surprised at how small the place was, even for A'dam. But with the reviews for a great breakfast spot, we were really happy that we could walk in two different days and sit at the counter by the window. We had an... read more

We're looking for a nice breakfast location for our last day in Amsterdam and we were really glad to found this one. The breakfasts were amazing. The croissants are delicious (for non-French ones ;-)) and the bread as well. The room is quite small, but it gives the restaurant a nice and cosy atmosphere. Also, we sat at the window... More

This venue was just around the corner from our hotel. The food was excellent and offered far better value. Very popular with locals and tourists alike. Give it a try ...

I don't get what's so special about this place, it's just a sandwich shop. The menu is consistent with what you would find in a sandwich shop in the train station. The place isn't bad, just not worth travelling to. It's good for a quick bite to eat, but the food is definitely not memorable.

Located 1/2 block from our wonderful hotel, The Esteria, this is the place for breakfast and lunch. We ate there 3 times. Order the grilled chicken sandwich - enough for two people to share; The hot apple pie is amazing!!!! Enjoy

This small cafe is full of locals and visitors - it does great breakfasts and the service is quick and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty and the portions are very generous. The omelettes were particularly good. The window seats are perfect for watching the world go by.

Lovely food, good value. Service is quick and efficient. It is a quiet and unassuming little cafe on the corner near the Estherea Hotel and attracts locals and visitors alike.

My girlfriend and I visited this place twice for lunch during our 3 day visit to Amsterdam. It is the perfect place for simple lunch. The portions are big and service is swift but not not rushed. I had the Broodje Bert burger once - which is grilled patties on a lovely piece of bread and lots of salad. The portions here... More

Simple, no nonsense, tasty eats. Had the ernie breakfast special which was fantastic. Fresh squeezed OJ was very good. Located near Singel canal with several tables.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
