Highly recommended - we had the bacon and egg breakfast which served on 'broodje' and a salad (sounds odd but it really works),freshly sqeezed orange juice and tea/coffee for 7 euros. Very good value. The servery area is very small, but the views overlooking the canal from the window seats are absolutely amazing. Don't bother with hotel breakfasts if you... More

Tiny place just up from our hotel (who were asking €18 for buffet breakfast) we went here instead of splurging on the breakfast buffet. I recommend the 'Ernie' breakfast All food was fresh and delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Very good prices.

This is the place I liked very much. I was with my brother and my brother in law there. We were not in a very happy mood when we entered there, but after a while we loved the cozy enviornment and the food wad great. I love you BERT.

A very small cafe clearly in high demand as we had to go back later to get a seat. It's 50/50 whether you'll feel cramped but for me it was well worth it. The food was substantial-ordered an excellent "hot chicken sandwich" as I could see this was popular although I didn't spot it on the blackboard. The burger was... More

Love love loove you Bert! They have amazing sandwiches at such good prices. The plain broodjes were probably a bit plain, but the special sandwiches and 'warm out of the ovens' were so amazing, really tasty and huge! Also came with a salad that consisted of a LOT more than just lettuce, which was really nice! Seating was very cozy,... More

Tried this eating place after reading up on reviews previous to our trip and was not disappointed. Inside the place is small but has friendly staff. Ordered the omelette and it was delicious, it was accompanied by a plate of salad and delicious bread.

I ate three times there in my last trip to Amsterdam. Ask for the burguer and the brie sandwich. The owner is a very nice guy also, he was always very friendly when I asked things.

We had a great lunch here! The toasted sandwiches were excellent and filling, as well as being a good value. The place is somewhat small, but has a nice atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
