We stumbled upon the Lindengracht location while strolling through the Jordaan area - looking for a drink and a snack. What we found was an adorable restaurant with a staff happy to oblige our request for fries and a dessert. The atmosphere is darling, and the staff were very friendly. After tasting the Sticky Toffee Pie, we were in heaven.... More

In Holland recently for a conference and the day before it started we did a do-it-yourself walking tour of the centre. Starting in the red light district at about 6pm we went clockwise and ended up in the much nicer restaurant district at around 8:30. Looking for somewhere to eat with no reservations we happened upon Brasserie Vlaming by accident.... More

My husband and I were walking around the last night of our vacation in Amsterdam and found this restaurant. We were immediatly greeted at the door by a nice gentleman and he said we could take whichever table we wanted.  Not long after a nice lady came by and took our drink orders. She came back with our wine selection... More

We happened upon Brasserie Vlaming while strolling along the canals on an incredibly warm, lovely, "everyone outside" kind of Saturday night. We had no idea of where we wanted to go other than to avoid the loud and knowing we wanted some good food. After looking for awhile, we spotted Vlaming by their outside tables. It seemed like such a... More

Our final night in Amsterdam, we wandered the streets without any specific dinner plans. Walking the canal streets in the Jordaan neighborhood, we came upon Brasserie Vlaming. A seated man instructed us to sit down if we wished. Little did we know that he was the owner :) As the dinner progressed, we started talking to the Brazilian couple next... More

We had a wonderful experience dining here on our stay to Amsterdam. The friendly family atmosphere added so much to the evening. The food is fresh and well prepared. It is not expensive and really enjoyable.

I stumbled upon Vlaming during my first month of living in the gorgeous Joordan neighbourhood... needless to say I virtually lived there for the following two years ... and, although I no longer live in NL, Vlaming will always hold a special place in my heart. So, Amsterdam is famous for its fries, well Vlaming's are without doubt the naughtiest... More

I love eating at Vlaming. I've lived in Amsterdam for 16 months and have come back at least a dozen times (usually with guests). The tuna is my favorite, but the burger, avacado and gambas appetizer, frites and sticky toffee pie are PHENOMENAL.

We came across this fantastic bistro by accident whilst strolling from our hotel last weekend. The owner Frans was just opening up for the evening & we chatted to him whilst looking at the menu. We reserved for that night & how glad we were. The menu is excellent ,something for everyone. The resturant was full of Dutch people ,always... More
