Visited following recommendation. Had a lovely meal although the menu choice was quite limited. Would recommend the starter for two which was a selection of all the starters on the menu. We booked in advance which is a good idea as it is only small and was very busy. Enjoyed our meal and would recommend it for an evening meal.

Visited here after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. It certainly didn't disappoint! Lovely little basement restaurant and bar, right on the Prinsengracht. Food was great and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

Nice location, great service, very good food (chicken particularly recommended), perfect for two or for a small party. Should only improvement its wine list, too basic and perhaps overpricy. Booking required. Will definitely come back!

Our first choice of restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so our hotel recommended Vlaming. We're pleased they did. The restaurant is beside a canal, has a rustic feel to it and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We found the staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Although the menu is not extensive, the food was good quality and the dishes were freshly... More

Perhaps not the most exciting menu, but good food, well cooked. The staff are delightful and the place has a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere. The canal-side location adds an element of romance. Internet reservations are efficiently handled.

We booked again to go vlaming on our visit to amsterdam after having a such a lovely meal the last time. Booked via internet several days in advance and had a prompt reply back confirming our table. As we entered the restaurant was quite full but the waitress immediately found our booking and offered us a choice of tables. Menu's... More

First, the good: the food is very tasty (not as good as De Luwte), and the decor is modern and very romantic. Then, the bad: the service was abysmally slow (2.5 hours to eat with no dessert), and we had to beg them for the check before they brought it. Most of the clientele is Dutch, and Dutch-speaking tables seated... More

Dear Sean, I'm sorry to see that you'were not very happy after your visit to us. I'm glad however that at least you enjoyed the food we serve and also the ambiance of our restaurant. I don't know which date you were with us, otherwise I could have checked with the waitresses what happened that night. If you look at... More

I've been in Amsterdam five times in the last few years and I have to say that I didn't like 80% of the food I've eaten there. I've been to nice places, but there was always something wrong in the dishes I've ordered or in the service being outrageously late or forgetful. As soon as I entered Brasserie Vlaming, after... Went here based on the tripadvisor rating and loved it. Great service and lovely food - onkly negative was the plates could have been warmer. Having walked past the open kitchen to go to the loo, noticed they lay the plates up with sauce etc and then serve the meet/fish on top - standard practice to make the protein the... More

I made a reservation for 2 on Wednesday night. Staffs are very friendly. We order the mini stater combination. Nice and tasty. Chef like to use cumin as a hint in the stater. And we love it. Complimentary to the chef.
