Great service and very cozy atmosphere. We made dinner reservations online for Christmas Day, after being won over by the delicious sounding menu. However, they hadn't posted on the website that the menu would be completely different and fixed for Christmas dinner and I didn't enjoy about half of it.

I like this place. Interesting menu. I always learned a new ingredient when i came here. The food is flavourful. If the risotto is still on the menu, it could use some more seasoning. The ingredients are so freshly sourced that you can really taste the difference from your albert heijn groceries. I would go back again, knowing that i... More

You should go and try the "wild days" menu only for the formidable rabbit, cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth.. We weren't very keen on the smelly blood sauce, we just tried it, it proved to be the perfect combination, with the vegetables as well. All the compliments! The pate is also delicious, the soup interesting. I'd recommend the... More

Our - non-english - speaking waitress told us that we could choose the 3 course menu from the menu cart. When the bill came, we were however charged for 3 seperate courses. When complaining, the manager put the blame on the waitress, and was not willing to compensate. This was a sad ending of an otherwise nice evening

This no-nonsense restaurant is located in one of going out areas of Amsterdam. For some reason we had to wait too long to get the menu and drinks. We eventually selected the fixed price menu. The food was good but again we had to wait too long between courses. Our table was in the annex which did not do much... More

Excellent food. It is hard to believe this restaurant is ranked 332. The chef explained the menu options, and patiently answered questions. The restaurant was informed in advance that one of group is lactose intolerant. The chef was aware of this information and guided her to appropriate options, as well as letting us know what adjustments he could make in... More

We had a five course menu at A la Ferme. The two starters were excellent, but the duck as main course was no luck. Maybe we were to many that should be served at one time? The cheese was ok - an dessert was good. All together an "average+ experience".

Visited A la Ferme on Friday whilst visiting Amsterdam. 4 of us all had a fantastic meal. 3 courses each plus wine, each dish was fab, service was very relaxed and dare i say not very French! Will definitely go back next time in Amsterdam. 2 had the fish special which was a very good Cod dish, 2 had the... More
