Our place in the Gault Millau, we consolidated nicely with 15 points and also in Nice was written both in print and online again praised us. And last but not least, we got a nice mention as pleasant restaurant with very tasty dishes and an excellent wine list in the Michelin Guide. So that's nice! Now we go back just do what we like ... Very, very good

Staying round the corner, we tripped into Daalder. Tight for time (they needed the table back), they paced a four course selection very well. Remarkably tender salmon tartare, pork and Angus beef. Delicate and interesting flavours from the mouse bouche through to the dessert. Warm, knowledgable (but not intrusive) staff. A really, really good meal. Hugely recommended.

I can't add much to the enthusiastic reviews for Daalder except to reinforce its difference from a lot of other restaurants. We had three very good meals during our stay in Amsterdam, at Johannes, MAX, and Dalder. The food at Johannes was more sophisticated, and we liked the Indonesian influence at MAX. We would happily eat again at all of... More

We booked this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and it was a great experience. We were made very welcome - despite the fact it was very busy, the staff were really friendly and professional and took time to explain how the menu worked. The service was excellent too. The basic premise is a set menu and you can choose... More

Just lovely. Every course a delight, we went for six courses as it was my husbands birthday each was a taste treat. Service not fussy just pleasant and helpful with each course described in detail, just the right length between courses a relaxed leisurely experience. We will be back and probably before the end of this trip it was so... More

My wife and I were a little anxious as it was the first time we had a meal without a menu . We were made very welcome by the staff who enquired about any allergies or dislikes before we commenced our meal. We decided on 3 courses and each course was beautifully presented with mouth-watering flavours,as we were given each... More

This was a special trip, and having read reviewed online from local restaurant reviewers, we chose Cafe Daalder. We were not disappointed. A very small cafe - the main section centred around the bar, and the annex near to the kitchen pass. The cafe has a set menu - you choose how many courses you want. We went for the... More

The excitement of not knowing what the chef would deliver to the table only added to the experience. The lovely staff carefully explained each element of the dishes as they arrived. I opted for 4 courses, my girlfriend 3. Each course was exquisitely assembled with different delicate flavours and textures. Simply amazing....We'll definitely be back

By coincidence during a stroll through the Jordaan area of Amterdam we came across this gem of the restaurant. We decided to try-out because it was packed with local customers with decent prices. What a big surprise it was .. good food with very friendly staff who are proud to present the dishes. We took the 3 and 4 course... More

Not expected exceptional good restaurant at the old part of Amsterdam (Jordaan). From the outside and at the entrance, the place looks like a traditional old Dutch pub. When you enter the place you arrive at the long bar. But it is a restaurant and the food and wines are fantastic. We have taken the 5 course meal. You can... More

I love this place and will come back! You can freely select how many dishes you like, we went for the full package with wine pairing for 100 euro. This is a great deal and the food is fantastic!
