Great food, great service, great price

This little gem of a restaurant is a real find, it is so good it tends to be busy. The good news is that there is now a second venue on the Keizersgracht just off the busy Leidesgracht, well worth a visit and just as good as the oringinal Greenwoods for food with the added bonus of a licence... read more

Lovely place at one of the nicest canals in Amsterdam. Excellent quality of food, very nice service. Relaxed atmosphere, including the open kitchen. BEST scone of the year so far, freshly baked, perfect.

The restaurant is canal side with some outdoor seating. The interior seats 22 at 11 tables which are fairly close together. The floors are wooden plank and the walls are whitewashed stucco. The compact kitchen is in the back of the restaurant and is open. The overall feeling is warm and inviting. We visited Greenwoods for breakfast and the food... More

While in Amsterdam my husband and I had breakfast twice here. We were so glad we found this place. It's the best breakfast we have ever had. The first morning my husband ordered the full english breakfast with a hot chocolate and i ordered the eggs florentine. The eggs florentine was the best I'd ever had and the hot chocolate... More

We stopped at this little restaurant because it was a sunny day and there was the ability to sit outside. The fact that only one seat was left outside and the inside looked full also, told us the place was probably good, and so it was. We had the organic lamburger which was fabulous..cooked just right and with additions of... More

Greenwoods is small but perfect. The food was of good quality and excellent value. This place is always busy. The eggs florentine was fabulous and a cup of tea was more than appreciated. There is a second Greenwoods opening in another part of the city, I am sure this will prove just as popular.

We stumbled upon this cosy little restaurant, desperate for a real cup of tea for breakfast. What a stroke of luck ! The breakfast menu is small but sufficient. The food was well prepared and the service fast and friendly. We found it hard to find good food in Amsterdam so this little oasis was a very welcome find indeed.... More

Really popular spot, quite small but worth queuing even in the rain. Don't take it personally if you are asked to wait outside, as the lady explained to us later, people waiting inside puts customers under pressure to rush their food. Does the usual array of breakfast & lunch type dishes, including sandwiches and gorgeous desserts and traditional English high... More

We visited Greenwoods twice during our recent stay for their excellent afternoon tea with the biggest home made scones I have seen, and real leaf tea in enormous teapots ( shame they are metallic) Excellent value.

We ate here and sat outside as inside is quite small, cosy and was full. It was great to sit and enjoy the canal and they even have blankets available in case you are cold. The food was just what we felt like as a decent breakfast in Amsterdam is not easy to find. The atmosphere was bustling, service attentive... More
