Vinkeles is housed in an old bakery; which was set up in 1787 by the Regents of the Catholic Church, who at the time owned the building. The bakery flourished until 1811 and guests still can see the original ovens, which were discovered intact during restoration work.Echoing the décor of the hotel, Executive Chef Dennis Kuipers’ menu combines the traditional and the modern. The dishes served in Vinkeles show Kuipers’ love of the contemporary French cuisine. He combines the freshest ingredients to produce a menu that is delicious and unique to Vinkeles. In 2009 restaurant Vinkeles was awarded a Michelin star.

Very generous and inventive amuse-bouche; a homey ambience

Came here with four friends. the meal begins with a series of amuse-bouche, some using molecular cuisine techniques, all delicious. To put this review into context, my partner and I ate here recently for her 50th birthday and decided to try the chef's signature selection which is seven courses with wine accompaniments. Let me say that I always give balanced reviews, so lets start off with the downsides of Vinkeles: My meager income wont allow me to eat here time... More

I are her a couple of times before, but this time I was pleasantly surprised to see that Chef Kuipers and his team are getting better and better. More taste. Delicate structures. Also the service was even better(!!) than last time, while I already thought this was the top of the top. Michelin, why does this place only have ONE... More

This is one of the most highly rated -- and expensive -- restaurants in Amsterdam, located in the Dylan Hotel right on one of the main canals. The food is a bit nouveau but they pulled it off nicely. My yellowtail crudo was one of the best I've ever had.

Out-of-this-world food and service. Had the five-course tasting menu, and they allowed some changes based on food preferences. So accommodating throughout. The ambience is cool and romantic, without being obnoxious. We just can't say enough good things about this meal!

Had a memorable and amazing meal at Vinkeles. Everything we ate was wonderful. Service was great too. A great experience for everyone in our party from my parents who are in their late 70s, to myself, to my sons who are 18 and 20.

This must be one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam. Housed in the stylish Dylan hotel, Vinkeles is located in an old bakery in one of the wings. Very nice atmosphere. Luckily, they have succeeded in hiring top staff, who know what they are doing. Perfect hosts, friendly, knowledgeable: the best of everything. And then the menu: I can only... More

The best meal in Amsterdam. Wonderful service accompanied by great wine and great food. They were very accommodating. We went with my two daughters aged 10 and 12. They were willing to add or subtract anything to make their meal enjoyable to them. Great food, ambience and service.
