Very limited menu which never changes. Great home made fries but poor meat and fish. The atmosphere depends on how many people are on the boat. Can get noisy very quickly. Friendly staff.

In December we joined their last a la carte restaurant night. From 2013 on, they only have the restaurant available to companies that hire the entire ship for private parties, weddings etc.

Lovely food but not much of it. Also waited a very long time (nearly two hours) without any kind of apology although it was a very busy night. There only appeared to be two waitresses waiting on for a full restaurant. Surroundings/decor were very nice but unfortunately didn't compensate for the waiting time.

In a city like Amsterdam we couldn't resist dinner on board the Odessa, a replica Russian vessel turned into a restaurant. The location is interesting and the vessel itself is really well converted. Sadly the food was a let down. Mediocre at best, there were some amateurish errors such as roast chicken with rubbery skin, unset pannacotta, a shame really... More

the only bad part of eating at odessa is that the seats are not straight. You have to lean toward the stern or bow depending on where you are seated

.... Odessa is very isolated from the centre of town so if you are a tourist in town it is likely to be a trek away from your base. The dockside location would probably be buzzing on a warm sunny day but was depressing and deserted in the rain. The staff were well intended but a little hapless and confused... More

We ate downstairs, where the kitchen and dj booth are. Great value for money and food was good too. Recommend booking in advance!

Had a pretty ordinary meal here (costing around 80 euros for the two of us and we only had a couple of drinks!) and regretted taking the 40 minute walk from our hotel (The Mint, near central station) along the redeveloped docks to get there. I'd only say that people staying at the Lloyd or Movenpick should consider schlepping out... More

This restaurant on a boat may sound cheesy in concept, but it was an awesome experience. Situated out the city centre, it's pleasantly away from the crowds but has enough vibe of its own to make it a fun night out. With excellent food (oysters, steak, veggie options etc) a good wine list and a great DJ it's a perfect... More

We had the good fortune to run into a couple of locals our first night in Amsterdam who turned us on to this unique restaurant. Located on a boat about 10 minutes from Central Station on the 42 bus but well worth the trip. The pike perch was one of the best fish entrees I have ever had. The service... More
