Emporers new clothes

All the dishes looked exquisite but the only course of 5 to be very good was dessert. All the other courses were unerflavourd and disappointing - the recommended valpollicella was also no more than average

We are now planning to come back to Amsterdam same time next year and this restaurant influenced that thinking - a lot! Pricey, yes but its our anniversary and the wine selection had something to do with that. I had the 4-course which included rabbit ravioli and corvina. Succulent! You could tell that ingredients are very fresh. My wife had... More

Not a typical Italian, if you are looking for the usual pasta and sauces then this if not for you. If you appreciate great food , service and a great night out then this is the One! We had the taster menu for €49 each which is not the cheapest but is great value. Food is excellent and the flavours... More

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam, extra ordinery friendly service!! The menus are beautiful to looked and as well very tasty.. I found the dishes little over created... But I loved the evening and would come again for sure!! I didn't mind to show my appreciation with leaving much more money for the great service then usual. Very... More

I will keep this short.... I have eaten in some of the best places there are.. Bussia completely blew me away! Food was stunning, wine was beautiful, service was excellent and to top it off the Kitchen is open so you can see all of the action. So in short.... I will return to Bussia every time i visit Amsterdam!... More

It's a shame when they try to reinvent a classic cuisine like Italian. It has taken thousands of years to get right, so why change a winning formula. Small portions with multiple ingredients in well loved dishes makes them different, rarely better. Service was good if a little intrusive, prices were high for what we had. I would not go... More

We opted for the four course taste menu. Portions were sufficiently large so that we didn't feel overly full. The courses were well prepared and presented. Flavours were complex, yet delicious. The service was friendly, swift and efficient. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was a great experience. We managed to get a booking last minute as the retaurant we chose for my birthday dinner notified me it was closed on the day of the booking. Bussia definitely came to the rescue. We had a 6 course chefs menu and a recommended bottle of wine, which was also excellent. The table was... More

excellent modern take on traditional Italian fare. beautifully presented & served by our waitress who managed to combine the right balance of professionalism and courtesy with knowledge and friendly banter. the restaurant itself is sparsely decorated and scrupulously clean. well worth a visit.

The restaurant has a very nice interior. The food is not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant (and they claim "fine Italian dining"). In general the food is good and I would rather describe it as French cuisine, rather than Italian. However, the servant we had provided really poor service; she has no knowledge of the wines they...
