great food in a nice restaurant with good service

The food is excellent and in spite of the fact it was very busy we experienced good personal service. The restaurant is well situated and the open first floor creates the feeling there is plenty of room. Good atmosphere.

I have been at Bussia three times so a review is somewhat overdue. The food is great; nice small plates that all are interesting and really tasty. The wine paring by glass is excellent and the wine selection from their cellar is really good (given that you are in to Italian which I am). I eat out a lot and... More

Italian cuisine does not lent itself well to modernistic trends. Thus, to ask for Ravioli with scallops, and to have delivered two scallops and four pieces of Ravioli comes as a strong disappointment! Wine was far more expensive than it's quality seemed to warrant¡ We will not return¡

The meal at Bussia was wonderful and each course was well portioned and delicious. Our service was attentive and made some great wine pairing recommendations. Make sure to get a reservation as it has limited seating and will get fully booked.

The food at Bussia IS good. But this is a restaurant that was clearly conceived for tourists, it's no accident that it's next to the best hotel in/near the Jordaan. I therefore find the service shockingly rude at times. It's the only place in Amsterdam that has refused me a table when they had a table open--if you call to... More

On every visit to Amsterdam I normally consider Bussia but normally opt for other restaurants. This time we went on a Saturday night and we are so glad we did. We chose the 6 course menu with wine pairings and we're not dissappointed. Tiffany our waitress was excellent throughout the evening, not only in serving food and wine but giving... More

Upmarket Italian restaurant with outstanding dishes. Beautiful old building, tables set with plenty of space to guarantee privacy. Lovely combinations of food and wine so don't hesitate to go for the wine menu to go with your 4, 6 or 8 dishes!

Tonight we were with 4 ladies in Bussia. From the first minute we were welcomed so warm and our service called Frances was so attentiv and very friendly. We had the 4 tasting menu. All were served professional and explain the dishes very well and it was plenty, and we thought well priced for the quality/service. An interesting antipasti followed by... More

I went here hoping yo,have good spaghetti dinner. No so; they mainly serve 3, 4, and even 6 course meal! I did ask for only a plate of spaghetti; got a big plate with 4-6 pieces of spaghetti and.....no and. It turns out this is what they call 'fine dinning'. If you don't mind sitting for two hours and spending... More

And Im not talking about the owners, who are as well as the above, both welcoming and explain the dishes very well. The choice of 4,6,or an 8 course tasting menu, came as a surprise, but the choices were very good. We chose the 4 course and it was plenty, and we thought well priced for the quality/service. An interesting Risotto followed by a... More
