We ate at The Taco Shop on our last night in Amsterdam, and what a great conclusion to our stay. Mexican is my favorite type of food and The Taco Shop gets two thumbs up from me! I never would have believed I could find authentic Tex-Mex 5,000 miles from home. I would lovingly describe The Taco Shop as one... More

I live in Den Haag and go to Amsterdam JUST FOR THE FOOD HERE! Not much more can I say. Great people, great food, great prices, great quantity. One interesting point - when in a discussion where I am asking others where to get good mexican food, I have had so many say öh, there is this little shop in... More

Being an American expat, good Tex-Mex or Mexican food is something I missed, until I managed to eat here. I've tried a few places around Amsterdam, (Tio Pepe, Santa Maria, Los Pilones), and on their best days, they're serviceable. I've eaten at this little joint now several times, and not once have I left this place without a stupid grin... More

To be honest, I was not going to go in there as it did not look very nice from the outside but my hunger got the better of me & I'm so glad it did! The food was amazing! generous portions, cheap, friendly funny staff & tastes great! we're going back there before we go home! My partner said he'd... More

By far the best Tex-mex you Can get in Amsterdam! Friendly owner, great atmosphere, nice music, just a nice laid back joint with great food. The tacos are awesome. Prices are more than fair for what u get.

a little out of the way for most visitors (probably), as its tucked away on the Amstel in de Pijp but it's worth the trip. Friendly owner, great prices and delicious food.

This was by far the best Tex-Mex food I've tasted. Never tasted it in America, so I can't compare to "the real thing", but something tells me that the American dude who runs the show knows his thing. We were a group of six who tried everything on the menu (ordered different things), and no one was disappointed! I you... More

The shop was at the bottom of our map of Amsterdam, but we took the tram and went to look for it, we were so happy to arrive. The owner, a friendly American, greeted us friendly and advised us not to order to much since the plates were big, but oh my, was the food GOOD! We had the quesadillas... More

Fantastic little tex mex shop. Ordered a super taco and chili buritto to go. Food was simple and good quality for the price. I like shop too !!!! Really laid back atmosphere. There were locals eating in and blues playing on the system. ( Hooker, Muddy waters etc) Enjoyed reading the wall and seeing which celebs had eaten here !!!!... More

Having tried 3 or 4 Mexican, Tex-Mex, Dutch-Mex, and other Taco joints in the Netherlands, I was a bit skeptical of this place but decided to give it a go. Coming from the US, one of my only criticisms of the Netherlands is a lack of good Mexican food. Well, that criticism took a hit after having dinner at The... More
