My friend and I happened to randomly find this restaurant just wandering the streets of Amsterdam and I was wonderfully surprised with the dining experience. For dinner we ordered the mash pot to share. It was a smaller portion than I expected, but still enough, and delicious too. The restaurant has a great atmosphere: pretty chill and casual, and nice... Really liked the stamppot here. And the beef cheek was fantastic as well, one of the best meal we had on our 3-weeks long Europe trip.

The perfect restaurant for a calm evening after a hectic sigthseeing day. The service was one of the best I experienced the last months. Not really cheap, but you have to keep in mind that's Amsterdam and that's holland, both areas where going out is expensive. We had the first time salm, second evening meat and both time we were... We paid around 50 euros for these plates,2 small bottles of water and a cheese snack.I wouldn't consider it value... More

A great restaurant to experience local dishes. Good atmosphere, friendly proprietor and reasonable prices. A small restaurant but all the better for it.

We headed here based on the really good tripadvisor reviews. The staff were attentive and the fish dish I ordered was lovely. However my husbands stamp pot wasn't great and a bit under seasoned. Therefore I thought that the price charged was a bit high. However I would definitely still recommend eating here as it was nice, if a little... More

Hard to reconcile the other reviews on here with what we experienced, which wasn't *bad* as such - just.. terrible value for money. We ordered the Stamppot for two (red cabbage version). What came was essentially two small saucepans, one containing the mash (potatoes with a bit of red cabbage threaded in it) and the other a measly amount of... More

This is a gem of small restaurant and highly recommend visiting and having traditional Dutch food! The staff are very friendly and welcoming with excellent food that has a home cooked feel to it. We had the mash pot which was outstanding and i have to learn to cook it myself now! Great for couples or families.

Hidden away in a small backstreet is Tomaz. The beer is excellent, with many to choose from. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. We sat outside and were treated to a history lesson about the nearby English Church from the bar owner. My wife and I returned the next day for more drinks, and we also sampled some... More
