We were invited for dinner at this restaurant. The moment you walked in, you would be impressed by the set up and decor of the place. We were given a few types of soya sauce/ seasoning to eat with our food. The chef cooked in front of us and we were very impressed with his skilfullness at chopping, slicing and... More

Believe me, if you want to eat good sushi, you need to pay some money, sushi is not a king of "all you can eat" food, so I do not think Hosokawa is pricey. I have been in Japan and had several chances to eat sushi in good places (including Tsukiji market) and I can easily say nigiri in Hosokawa... More

We went for a company dinner, the good was good and the price as well. Actually 200 euros for 3 persons, including 2,5 bottles of saque. The place is nice for a date amd also for a different company meeting. Worth to try.

The sushi was excellent, very fresh. We ordered a la carte for the teppanyaki and we had too much food! The meat was excellent with great flavours and perfectly cooked. The rice and vegetables was again lovely, certainly one to remember! The wine menu was good although expensive. The service was very friendly although you should NOT expect the tappanyaki... More

It was over 16 years ago that I had teppanyaki at this place and wanted to give it a try... Not all staff is as friendly and the chef preparing was not very skilled (but very friendly). The food was good but a bit overprized, we will not come back any time soon. Decorum is very middle of the road...... More

Picked this restaurant based on the TA reviews, which proved accurate. As we live on the Pacific Rim, we are accustomed to very good sushi and teppan yaki. The sushi here was perfect: fresh, tasty fish and not too much rice. The grilled salmon teriyaki and lobster were wonderful. The sauces and seasoning were not overpowering, and the fish were... More

Nice setting, the food was typical sushi, decent but nothing to rave about, a little expensive but man was the service bad and adhered to a strict 'system' Highlight: They sat us in the lounge for ten minutes even though the restaurant was 3/4 empty. (Person 1) Finally got seated with a drink order but didn't give us menus (Person... More

I was skeptical of how good Hosokawa would be - it's located next to the Holland Casino across from the Hard Rock Hotel; hard to be in a more touristy area! My fears were immediately allayed from the first bite. We had several rounds of sushi and sashimi, good sake, and lovely service from the very helpful staff. The interior... More

We went here on a Sunday night. The restaurant was far from crowded luckily so plenty of space to choose from. First the atmosphere: cosy place. The food: excellent food, the fish was of a very good quality, and all sushi, sashimi, maki, etc... were excellent. The service: it's ok. Except for an efficient main waiter, the other helping waiters... More
