Said to be one of the best in Amsterdam. I entered the premises and what I saw was really appealing. My experience stopped there. It was on a Saturday afternoon, and it was totally overcrowded. A waitress barked (there is no other term for it) : we are sold out! So we left.

This is a must on your visit to Amsterdam! Beside the nice location in the "9-street" area with all the beautiful canals, this patisserie is a firstclass experience. The hot coco is definitely the most wonderful experience, plus the delicious cheesecake and pralines- all made on spot. The owners are very nice and you can tell they put their soul... More

We were so sorry we only discover this small patisserie on our last day. Having just finished a cheese tasting and purchasing chocolates a few blocks away, we certainly didn't need to stop here. However, the display of beautiful desserts in the window was not to be passed by. It was difficult to decide on just one to share, but... More

Hadn't been to Pompadour for years, due to living abroad. But whenever I am in Amsterdam this is a place I will make sure to visit. Have known the place for about 40 years, and it is still as fresh and good as ever. Beautiful and delicious homemade chocolates and cakes. A real treat! For lunch they do (amongst other... More

My husband and I were in Amsterdam this past weekend and have been going there almost yearly for the last ten years. It was only this time on our last day there, that we discovered this small and wonderful gem, although we normally stay within walking distance of this place. The patisserie is truly exceptional, the ingredients used are of... More

If you're out shopping on the nine streets, stop in for a little pick me up. They had tons of not only chocolates but cakes and other pastries. Our coffees came with a lovely little butter cake that was very moist. We also got a chocolate something and a fruity something and they were both wonderful.

Me and my partner visit this place around Christmas and we still remember the homemade Tiramisu! Masterpiece! I can't just describe it with words so you better go and try! We didn't really enjoy our stay in Amsterdam but this place will bring us back - for sure!!! The apple tarte was really good as well! Next time I'm gonna... More

We discovered this pastry/chocolate shop on a recent visit and went several times then and again last month. Located in the Nine Streets area, it is a perfect choice for wonderful pastries and coffee. They use Valrhona chocolate in their pastries, and you will like the results. It is a small, attractive place and the service is very friendly.
