Hadn't been to Pompadour for years, due to living abroad. But whenever I am in Amsterdam this is a place I will make sure to visit. Have known the place for about 40 years, and it is still as fresh and good as ever. Beautiful and delicious homemade chocolates and cakes. A real treat! For lunch they do (amongst other... More

My husband and I were in Amsterdam this past weekend and have been going there almost yearly for the last ten years. It was only this time on our last day there, that we discovered this small and wonderful gem, although we normally stay within walking distance of this place. The patisserie is truly exceptional, the ingredients used are of... More

If you're out shopping on the nine streets, stop in for a little pick me up. They had tons of not only chocolates but cakes and other pastries. Our coffees came with a lovely little butter cake that was very moist. We also got a chocolate something and a fruity something and they were both wonderful.

Me and my partner visit this place around Christmas and we still remember the homemade Tiramisu! Masterpiece! I can't just describe it with words so you better go and try! We didn't really enjoy our stay in Amsterdam but this place will bring us back - for sure!!! The apple tarte was really good as well! Next time I'm gonna... More

We discovered this pastry/chocolate shop on a recent visit and went several times then and again last month. Located in the Nine Streets area, it is a perfect choice for wonderful pastries and coffee. They use Valrhona chocolate in their pastries, and you will like the results. It is a small, attractive place and the service is very friendly.

A nice and classic chocolatier and pastry place with good coffee. Staff is mature and fits perfectly in the classic shop. Friendly service makes you wonder if you are in the busy part of town or not. Nust visit place

This small but lovely cafe sells the most delicious cakes and chocolates. The lemon tart is to die for. It's not cheap but definitely worth the treat. They also have a lunch room on Kerkstraat for great savoury sandwiches.

Stopped there for the chocolate that came recommended from a family friend. Bought handmade chocolate to take with us! Delicious. Many varieties of handmade chocolate. Dark, Milk, White. Worth the Price.

We shared a slice of chocolate mousse cake - it was creamy and delicious with a huge curl of solid chocolate decoration. My wife had tea (she was offered a bowl with a wide selection of tea bags to choose from) while I had hot chocolate (something told me that I should have that rather than my usual coffee). The...
