Good but ....

Guess I was expecting to be overwhelmed by garlic - which to me isn't a bad thing. Food was good - not exceptional -but I thought the mains could have used more garlic (once my young daughter made a lamb dish with 2 bulbs of minced garlic because she didn't know the difference between a clove... read more

For garlic lovers such as myself, I recommend this restaurant. The cream of garlic soup and the gambas shrimp dish was tasty. I also had the duck pate, which was served in two small ice-cream type scoops, not traditional French style pate. I dined outside and watched all of the gay guys walk by, as the restaurant is located on... More

The Garlic Queen is a small restaurant in the center of Amsterdam. Garlic Queen with a reason. Everything is cooked with Garlic. They even serve Garlic beer and Garlic ice. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. I had Garlic mushrooms with goat cheese as a starter, very very tasty. The main course was a kind a beefstew... More

This restaurant is the best and don't think you have to be a garlic fan! So great and delicious and not overwhelming garlic! Wow great service! Can't say enough about how wonderful to be served by someone who is happy and passionate about the food!

We had dinner there on Saturday night. It is a small place with seating for about 50 people, so I would suggest making a booking. The service was friendly and relaxed. The food was great. The meals are of a good size for the prices. If you love garlic then it's a place to go!!

We had a rather pleasant Valentine’s dinner here. The restaurant is located in a very lively neighbourhood, nearby the flower market and main shopping streets. We were not starving so settled for shared olives as appetiser, and a main: duck confit with sauerkraut and mash potatoes. Everything was good if unsurprising. The duck leg wasn’t dry which is a good... More

Went there with a group of acquaintances. The restaurant specialises in the use of garlic. We had a variety of appetisers which were nice but a bit on the small size. The main course was good though the pasta was a bit high in fat. The desserts looked very nice. The service was cordial and efficient. Will go back

Tried this place on a visit to Amsterdam, small, cozy, and very charming dinning spot! The service is excellent, and great ambiance, small place so make a reservation. The lamb shank is excellent and everything we tried was exceptional..certainly worth a visit..
