We had some lovely food here, probably the best we had in Amsterdam. The staff were a little overworked but if you are relaxed it is no problem.
As a person who travels a lot on my own meal times can be a little lonely and indeed awkward if you find yourself the only singleton in a busy restaurant. I stumbled across Sampurna quite by accident after I was refused a table at a nearby Chinese restaurant as they were only accepting tables of 2 or more -... More
Place to visit at least in the Netherlands you can find a place you can enjoy food. We've enjoyed the place and the ambient.
Having eaten many Indonesian meals in Holland we were surprised that so few such places remain , having been overtaken by' fast food ' and burgers. This was a gem of a place which we found by accident when we visited the flower market. We had an early meal and so got a good table. The food was tasty, nicely... More
Prob the best I had so far amongst the three restos I tried. More spices involved which is great. I m from singapore so you get pretty good indo food there. Satay was the really melt in your mouth kind. Rending good veg was good.. Staff was good.. I would give it 3.5 star if I had a half star... More
Had Jakarta Nasi Goreng. Taste great but the service where slow as only a waiter who were in the floor... Interior of the restaurant were great
Had a fun time sampling the various tasty Indonesian fare. A lot of the food is hot and spicy so take little sampling bites first so as not to get burned. All in all a great variety of food with plenty of vegetarian choices as well. Enjoyable!
This dinner was a disappointment from beginning to end. We waited a long time to have our order taken, only to have the waitress who took our order come back some time later, having forgotten that she took it. We were also told that there was no one who could advise us on the wine list, so we just shrugged... More
Recommended to us by the most fantastic bulb and root store in the flower market directly opposite when we asked them what it was like, we decided to give it a shot. As a vegetarian the fish-free choice was limited (only one dish for sure and possibly 2) but what I ordered tasted absolutely divine. Would I eat Indonesian again,... More
This restaurant is close to the flower market. I love chili and spicey food. We went for a late lunch and the only drawback was the beer which was thin as water. We had the Rijsttafel and it was very good. I would go there again
