First time trying tibetaanse food. Won't be the last.

First night being here and trying to find a restaurant with two indecisive people was hard.. so I suggested this tibet restaurant as it was only round the corner and we weren't getting anywhere with ideas. And I'm glad we visited. Spring rolls, dumplings and won tons for starters and they were... read more

We were only in Amsterdam for 2 days, but we had three meals here in that short space of time. Between my husband and I we tried six different dishes and everyone of them were superb. I highly recommend the tibetan medicine tea. It's made with three different types of berries. We couldn't get enough of the stuff. This is... More

Visited here last weekend. The staff are welcoming and the menu is extensive and good value. Prices are reasonable. The food was tasty, it was good to eat Tibetan cuisine which is why it appealed to us. Glad we visited.

Excellent food, simply served but with amazing flavours. Right in the middle of the RLD I'm a very friendly and interesting environment. Definitely a good choice for honest food, great flavours and reasonable prices.

The place is run by Tibetans. It is decorated in an authentic Tibetan style. Service is very friendly. The food is very good! They have different types of momos, Tibetan style soups, good selection o fSichuan style dishes. Vegetarians will also find a big selection. Highly recommended!

There's a growing trend amongst Asian restaurants, Spicy = Salty. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was also good if not for the saltiness.

If you love eggplants or if you hate them doesn't matter you should definitely try one of their dishes with eggplant! My friends and I got so addicted to their way of preparing eggplants! Any other dish was also perfect except of their soups which I don't like that much... But actually nothing we could complain about! If you are... More

I have been visiting this great restaurant for years now. Not even once, i can say that I have been disappointed. The food is just amazing, service is great, ambience is nice and great people. Highly recommended for a place to relax and enjoy your evening.

We were looking for some oriental food and their menu looked interesting. When inside the menu was overwhelming but we found the page with combination price fix menus and were very pleased. The service was good but our waitress was quite surely!!! The ambiance was ok but cramped. We would return. Fairly priced.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
