Consistently good food

We usually go for the chicken suflaki (skewered) and it is tasty every time. It comes with a delicious serving of rice and a generous portion of a very good salad. Very welcoming staff too. Best option in Alkmaar for Near East dining.

If you like meat and an old fashioned (positif) Greek restaurant try this one. The food is good and the waiters are very friendly.

Irodion is a Greek restaurant in Alkmaar. Because of the smell of the restaurant, you must visit this restaurant. The decoration is real greek, the food and the employees make you feel you are on holiday in Greece, for a reasonable price you will enjoy your evening at Irodion.

This has long been a favourite of ours in Alkmaar. Went back this week and they are as good as ever. The breaded calamari tubes were excellent. Grilled salmon was perfect.

Let me say right off the bat; I usually hate Greek food. Yoghurt shouldn't be on your food. Period. So I'm not big on going to Greek restaurants; but my friend persuaded me to try this one because he had some great diners there and they have more than 1 (one) vegetarian dish, to top it off; they make no... I do not actually understand why this restaurant can be ranked so high in the list. I have been there several times, food come very fast I must say, but it's really nothing special, just the average Greek food that one can find abroad ... A bit disappointing but edible.

Been here before, and again: very good greek dishes. Large dishes for a small price. Pleasant environment and perfect service. I will come back!
