Good value, slow service

We have been at this restaurant in late January 2015. It's location is excellent, it's at a walking distance from De Vrijthof (main square) and the old bridge connecting the historical downtown to the railway station (latter is ca. 20 minutes walking time). The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere... read more

We have lived in Maastricht for over a year now, and haven't experienced service even half as slow as at D'Artagnan. They had plenty of wait staff working and not many clients, so it must have been a severely understaffed kitchen, or just very poorly managed. The atmosphere and interior were quite nice, and the food (when it finally arrived)... More

The restaurant is situated in a nice old building. It serves good food, nicely presented, for a very very reasonable price!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on a warm Saturday in October and got great seat outside facing the never-ending flow of bicycles, walkers, limousines, taxis, diplomats, lovers, ice-cream eaters and more. The service was pleasant; we were in no hurry. The food was good; we had focaccia with tapenade, lasagne and spaghetti. The drinks—beer for me and... More

Nice location, good food, moderate prices. In general the Netherlands is not known for haute cuisine but this place was reasonable and probably better than most others I tried in Maastricht during my several trips there.

The location is very nice to sit outside. The service is not that good. The waiters take their time, so does the food. Food is nice. Seemed like most people came here for the "apfelstrudel".

We went out for dinner during our holiday and had no idea where to go. For that reason we asked some locals for advice. They told us we have to try a typical maastricht restaurant (can't remember the name, something with 'fam' in it) but we did not like the place so we decided to try the other side of... More

Walking towards this place, I thought great, a beer outside and boy does the ice cream shop opposite look tasty. I'll just settle down for a beer and some decent food. With my 3 and 1 yr old and husband. Well my first mistake was to order cheese blocks to stave off the hunger of a 1 yr old at... More

A lovely restaurant; we would have sat outside if it had been warmer. We all enjoyed our food - the trio of soups was a big hit - although the wait for our main meal was a bit long. I would have given this restaurant an excellent score if they hadn't have rushed me to finish my dinner. The waiter... More

Visited this cafe twice now, last time we were in Maastricht we had breakfast there, this time we went for brunch before leaving town - mainly as we had children with us this time and the ice-cream shop opposite is fabulous!! Excellent coffee, excellent food - even a basic 'cheese baguette' is on very good bread, with a dressed side... More
