Friendly service. Nice, down to earth ambience. Food was just okay. We had several starters: quite okay, nothing special, but relatively small... Main dishes: rabbit Maastricht style was too dry. Would I go there again? No.

My reviews seem to have a certain tendancy towards pleasures of the flesh, meaning steak of course and you can believe I am criticall about quality and taste...
Anyway: I can't disagree more with the previous reviewers that did not like the food here although I must admit that my selection is was as of yet limited to...
But let...

This restaurant, located on a wonderful street in lovely Maastricht, was recommended by a couple of friends, so my husband and I went. The ambiance was lovely, the menu 'books' were whimsical and the wait staff friendly and helpful. I got the roasted pepper soup with feta cubes, which was delicious and very fresh tasting. We were excited for our...

I found this place after failiing to locate any vege restaurants in Maastricht on the Happycow website. The words eetcafe usually put me off in the Netherlands as I imagine some kind of hippy hangout or working mens club but the Eetcafe Ceramique looks like quite a trendy restaurant with laid back music such as that of the Gotan Project....

The food is not at a restaurant level. Maybe if you want to hang out and to eat without any high expectations you will like this place. Dont go there to eat quality food.
Our tour guide recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed on our first night in the Netherlands. Our meals were fresh and local. My husband claims it was the best rabbit he has ever had. My risotto with fresh veggies was outstanding, Our waitperson was patient with our many questions and helped us move inside when it began to...

Beginning of May we had dinner here with 2 people. In the asparagus season, they had a great choice of different asparagus meals of which the quality and taste was really great.
Nice selection of wines as well and great service. Make sure you make a reservation, on Thursday evening it was completely full and some 10 - 15 people...

A lovely restaurant with very friendly service. At least 3 vegetarian main dishes, and excellent fish dishes. The salads and vegetables were well presented and fresh. We were lucky to be there at the beginning of the asparagus season, and there was an extensive special menu.
This old time favourite among locals and the younger set has recently had a makeover with a modern look, new kitchens and increased size. The menu remains the same, the owner is chatty and friendly and this is always a reliable evening hangout.
In a city where gastronomy rules (which usually means tiny portions) this place served up great dishes that filled us up. Whatever you order will be accompanied by a bowl of fries and a salad
