Brilliant

We had been advised to avoid eating on the squares in Maastricht if we wanted to find quality restaurants, and this place exactly fitted what we were hoping for. We did not want a swish, formal restaurant with uniformed flunkies, but a cheerful and friendly place with good food. And that's what... read more

Every time I go here, this place starts as the underdog. And when I get my dish, I'm always surprised. Great quality for a very fair price. So the fact that you cannot sit outside and that it is on a corner. Ignore it : go in and be surprised.

We've been wanting to try this small, local restaurant for some time and we were not disappointed. Reserving was efficient and they accommodated our request for a table by the window. The team were warm, welcoming and efficient. Our Gin and tonics were impressive and we enjoyed them while making the difficult choice from the well balanced menu. I had... More

We arrived in the early Sunday evening to join our family members who had already arrived ahead of us. We were a group of 13 and so we requested a long(er) table setting, which was no problem and quickly created. We took the three course dinner menu with fish/meat/vegetarian options. The starters were of average quality: bot bad but not... More

Just before going to the Andre Rieu concert we planned to eat something and found ourselves sitting at Le Virage. It says on the outside "eetcafe" but it is certainly more then that. It is a real restaurant with real restaurant menu and service. We enjoyed our dinner and it was very good in quality for both the starters as... More

We enjoyed Le Virage's dinner. Very friendly staff, food was delicious, more on the french taste. Excellent location, right in the heart of Maastricht. It is not cheap, but also not overpriced (they had a predefined 3 course menu for a little more than 30eur). The restaurant is also not very big, so I'd advise to make a reservation.

Le Virage is one of the best restaurants in Maastricht. The wait staff is fantastic. We went in one night, just off the street, and they didn't have a table (it's quite small), but they brought us down to a wine bar at the end of the street, and then came and got us when a table was ready (about... Last night was the second time we went to Le Virage. Though we had high expectations from our first visit, it was no let down at all. The service was good, we had an excellent bottle of Rioja and the food as if it came straight out of heaven. Everything was prepared with love to the detail and all flavours... More
