First, you're eating Dutch pancakes on a ship, which was more than enough to get me to go. We ate outside and the waitress kindly spoke English for us. I ordered the German (more meat than I've ever received at an American restaurant on one plate), and my friends ordered the American and the cinnamon and raison. All very delicious,... More

When visiting an european country such as Netherlands you can experience several difficulties regarding food if you're used to certain type of meals such as in Mexico. This restaurant has good food and a good amount of options for pancakes available. It's tasty and has big servings. It's located on a ship by the river and has a nice decoration.... More

This is the first resturant I visited when I moved to Groningen and I wasn't disappointed! Pancakes are massive and there are LOTS of different ones to choose from from savory to sweet but you better have a massive appetite if you aim to finish one. Great food and great experience! (one other bonus is they were the only place... More

Heard about this restaurant from friends and although we had a good lunch we decided to have a pancake. Since it was late afternoon we were the only customers. Service was very slow and all crew was eating their lunch. Our apple pancake was enormous and plenty for both.We didn't like much of the syrup but other choice was sugar. Its a... More

This odd little restaurant on the canal has the best pancakes I've ever had for dinner. Gigantic in size and topped with almost anything you like. The pirate ship that is the restaurant lies just a couple streets from the big square. Just a few minutes walk.

Went to ha a late lunch / early dinner to 't Pannekoekschip and it was an experience. Really delicious and filling. Good service and facinating environment to have your meal. Happy customers leaving the place, and we will come back. Highly recomended.

I met some friends here for dinner whilst staying in Groningen and I really enjoyed the experience. There is a huge amount of pancakes to choose from, I went for the Greek and it really was delicious. Fun location, nice food and wine - the service was a bit slow, but once we ordered the food came quickly.

We ate there with three adults. It is too crampy to sit relaxedly, too many (other) families with noisy children whirling around you bouncing onto your seat. OK for families with young children, not suited for a relaxed meal and conversation while having it. Plus: they serve gluten-free pancakes.

We went here with a small group of friends not having been there before. The place was fun since it's located inside a ship and the menu was extensive. I had a pancake with cheese, mushrooms and onion and although the size of the pancake was huge and the taste good, it was little bit dry, so I kept eating... More
