University of Groningen guys invited us to this lovely boat/restaurant. The menu? panckackes. A huge mountain of panckackes for everyone. Some of them with bacon, some of them, sweet. It was great, and the attention was excellent.

This is a must! The options here are incredible; sweet, savoury, a mixture of the two, with as much maple syrup and sugar as you can possibly want is accessible instead of the salt and pepper we are used to at any other establishment. I have only been once however my friends have travelled to Groningen many times and say... More

Great pirate fun for kids that dint know better but otherwise you will be at a disappointment. No ice for cold drinks, overpriced wine, poorly executed crepes and questionable quality. I'm not sure what the appeal is other than you're on a ship but the interior is drab and the seating outside is only open during the summer. There is... More

There are several of these, all over the Netherlands, and this one is as good as any of them. Pancakes for dinner, cooked with any number of ingredients ranging from savory to sweet, is actually an authentic Dutch cultural experience--though perhaps a bit easier to swallow than jumping in to an endive stamppot or hete bliksem. We always take my... More

Interestingly located on a ship, this pancake place offers a real good value for money, providing tasty pancakes with decent service for an affordable price. There are options for all kinds of tastes from salty to sweet pancakes and they are all pretty big, so a person with normal appetite should be full with one. I had myself the Bacon,... More

I came here with my family because of its unique place for a restaurant, of course we do hope for a good food also, all of the pancakes are very good, that time was the first time I tried various pancakes, and I think by visiting this ship, it is sufficient to represent the best taste pancake in the Netherlands

If you go there, you can say "Yes, I've eaten on a ship", but that's all! The pancakes are expensive and there are no pancakes with chocolate whatsoever!

First, you're eating Dutch pancakes on a ship, which was more than enough to get me to go. We ate outside and the waitress kindly spoke English for us. I ordered the German (more meat than I've ever received at an American restaurant on one plate), and my friends ordered the American and the cinnamon and raison. All very delicious,... More
