Tried to go here in July but they were on holiday. Ideal. Specialising in sea food and vegetarian. Lucky to get a table on Saturday last. Fantastic food. Very good service (they were tired). Think very reasonable prices. Seafood starter then mussels. Excellent. Vegetable stuff delicious (I'm the seafood one). If you're in groningen you must go here. Next time... More

Great for seafood lovers. I had excellent mussels and my partner was very happy with the fruit de mer rissoto. Attentive service, very good desserts and a good location. PS the "lof" is a way of saying witlof - meaning the emphasis is on the vegetarian.

I've eaten a couple of times here, both occasions have been fantastic. They do a great fish stew dish which tasted fantastic and full of shellfish too. The main courses are on the more expensive side but I think worth the money. The restaurant is small and intimate, you can see the head chef busy cooking in the small kitchen... More

This place is a jewel! The dishes change regularly and are usually as creative as they are good. They serve both fish and vegetarian dishes, though I'd recommend something with fish! The place is small, clean and has a bright, open design and friendly and competent staff. All in all, definitely worth going!

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. First we were right in time since they had to turn a few guests after we got a table. The staff and the owners Gea & Martin Jarings were very attentive. Did not need to wait for anything. Lots of options for Veggies and sea food. The sweet dishes were great... More

We had a lovely dinner here on a warm and sunny evening. We were lucky enough to get a table just outside the restaurant. It's nice to find a restaurant with a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. We had the vegetarian salad and the fish bouillabaisse followed by a heavenly chocolate desert. The service by the owners Gea and Martin... More

I stopped here for dinner one of my first nights in Groningen mainly because it was close to my hotel and it was raining. Though the menu was not in English the wait staff was very helpful to this single diner, even though the small cafe was full. The fish and asparagus were wonderful. A great start to my stay... More

Whatever it means in this case, the food is exceptional. Served with deliberation and care, it is high quality, with prices to match. The three times I've been have all been memorable.

I have visited this restaurant for the first time six month ago. Having tried several restaurants in Groningen last year, I keep returning to this restaurant, because the quality of food is very high and the service is quick and friendly. I always order the surprise menu with fish and a glass of wine. Each time the chef keeps amazing... More
