A warm welcome and great food

What a great place, bursting with character! We had a lovely evening here with a warm welcome. The specials were fresh and local, very generous portions and very good value. Make sure to leave room for one of Mrs Richard's legendary puddings, just like your grandmother used to make! And don't be... read more

I went her a few months back, the food was average wasn't to bad was on the pricey side. But the reason I would never go back is the owner (short old blonde thing) she is so rude and let's the whole b&b down!! And they way she treats her staff is discussing!! never again!! Attitude problem, I think so!... More

The inn is somewhat chaotically run as a restaurant but has undoubted character and friendly, helpful staff. You are constrained in your options but what charming restraints! All food is excellent we tried. You will come back here.

Nothing to look at from the outside, but very nicely laid out inside with pretentions of grandeur. (That's not meant to be facetious comment) . We ate in the bar area, which was fine for us, we were offered a table in the restaurant area but declined as in our holiday attire I didn't want to lower the tone, food... More

Staying nearby at the Lamphey Court Best Western Hotel, where the food was disappointing, we looked for somewhere else to eat. A very unassuming exterior promised little but the good food guide stickers suggested there was more to this than just (outside) looks. And so it proved to be. The menu was wide and varied and what we ate was... More

Our first impressions were not great, we were greeted by the surly matriarch of the restaurant, who we seemed to be greatly inconvenienced by our group wanting to come and eat in her establishment. Service from the rest of the staff was ok, and the food was good, but for us we wouldn't rush back when there are more welcoming... More

Really value for money pub grub, a reasonable menu selection, sensibly priced. Highlight of the pub is a good selection of draft beers, gets busy in the height of summer so reserve a table.

We didnt visit this pub on our last visit to Lamphey but did on our previous occasion and we were very pleased with the lovely steak meal .We had our dog Monty with us and we sat and had our meal in a room at the rear if the pub which is ideal if you have your pet with you.Also... More

We were staying nearby and thought it worth a visit. Although my wife's fish and chips were very good indeed, I found the Lamphey Lamb very disappointing. It sounded so promising - lamb with leeks and apricots cooked in a red wine and rosemary sauce. Sounds delicious. The addition of rosemary in the 'rosemary and wine' sauce would have been... More
