However, they do not sell it so I settled for a Stella a mile away from where I started. We used to call here a few... More

We were on a long road trip north and became very hungry and just couldn't face motorway service food. As we drove along we came across The Lord Nelson lunchtime on a Saturday, spacious car park! inside we were welcomed by a smartly dressed barman, we ordered drinks and a surf and turf and mixed grill. When it arrived it... More

I've passed this pub on a number of occasions and never gone in, so decided to give it a go one random Thursday. We arrived about 6:45, it was pretty quiet, it got busier after 7pm. The menu has an Amercian theme, which I wasn't really expecting. We chose from the 2 courses for £9.95 menu. Between us we had... More

Very attentive service from the man also serving the bar. Food quantity is good, but the food seems to have been a pre-prepared food rather than freshly and individually made. Still the quality is good and the value is reasonable.

We visited yesterday with friends from Brighouse - The food was amazing, the decor superb and the young man who served us was pleasant and helpful - a credit to the Lord Nelson - we shall be back very soon.
