Great, traditional place with a fantastic art collection. The food was lovely, and we had a charming waiter. A place to go if someone else is footing the bill, as it will likely set you back a couple of hundred francs.

A beautiful historic restaurant with fabulous pictures on the walls collected by the now-deceased owner over decades from her famous patrons including Picasso and Chagall. The main dining room is lovely but guarded by a Rottweiler-like maitre de. It has the best art, and appears to have good service as it is close to the kitchen. The second room (there... More

Kronenhallle is the ultimate retro location. Very traditional place with Picasso, Monet etc as decoration. One of the few places with really professional servers that are proud to serve you - a very rare luxury. Food was like home kitchen but extremely well prepared. No fancy decoration or stuff but just quality. For sure one of the best restaurants in... More

This restaurant is only with the expense if you are seated in the beautiful main room. Tourists will be shunted off to the side room or upstairs. Despite exchanging emails about our reservation with the restaurant, they claimed that they never received the one requesting a table in the main room. Shunted off to the cramped side room with the... More

We had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday and were very disappointed. The service was friendly, we were served by a very nice young lady. We ordered the prawn cocktail, very generous portion but very tasteless and just too much of a very ordinary cocktail. My wife ordered the asparagus which weren't on the menu but were available after I... More

A little overpriced but worth the splurge to eat in such a setting with original works of art hanging over your table. Food was good but not great. Same for the service. Consider part of the dinner cost a museum admission.

Happened to be near the opera house, looking for a good restaurant, pulled out tripadvisor and the top rates place 'near me' was here. Called for reservation since its typically full and they were able to accommodate in 30m. There is a lot of traditional german swiss food, with a unique old traditional atmosphere. English menus and staff that speak... More
