Enjoy fine food and art

This is probably the place where I tasted the best rosti! Expect a true Swiss fare with impeccable service. As you eat, you will be able to appreciate all the exquisite paintings that adorn the walls of this 90yr restaurant. Let all your senses come alive at Kronenhalle!

This restaurant is fantastic, food is good & service excede expectations, wasn't supper king on the entrée I had prawn cocktail but it was quite average. Apart from that it was superb!!

The hotel concierge recommended this restaurant. What a disaster we paid 62 Swiss Franc for an ordinary stake and chips eat. The food was not bad but also not good but the price made it unpalatable. It is obviously a tourist trap for wealthy tourists as it costed 243.00 Swiss Francs for two including a bottle of house wine (... More

I waited 9 years to get back to here for another visit and I was worried that perhaps things had changed. Wrong... it was absolutely the most wonderful dining experience of our trip. This classic restaurant serves classic Swiss dishes but also ventures into modern day cuisine as well. My choice was the veal steak (truly veal, not beef) with... More

Very old, formal and high end restaurant close by the lake. The place is expensive and the price of viewing of their art collection is factored in the food. Swiss food, good but not great. Dining these days has become casual and informal. This place sends you back to the sixties and it revels in its style. The service is... More

Food and Service is totally ok, but just nothing to remember. I dont understand why its so famous. I guess its more because of the history of the restaurant then of the food. Food is technically good prepared but there is no soul in it.Nothing i would recommend as a special experiance.

Try the typical Zürcher geschnetzeltes, it is reale good. Also the veal Filet is excellent. They Serve fresh at the table and the portions are generous. The Service is friendly, knowlegadble and dös Not bother. The Desserts are good as well. You probably Need to Book a table.

Very good food and wine selection - but expensive all around. The most famous and oldest Restaurant that has kept their quality of food and service, but you pay for it. Traditional Swiss style and a bit stuffy. Their Wiener Schnitzel and Kalbs Geschnetzeltes with Rosti (Veal in mushroom/white wine sauce with shredded fried potatoes) are must haves!!!

Great, traditional place with a fantastic art collection. The food was lovely, and we had a charming waiter. A place to go if someone else is footing the bill, as it will likely set you back a couple of hundred francs.
