Our final night of a European Christmas-New Year's holiday was a treat. Dinner at Kronehalle. Classic decor, a magnificent art collection, a small, beautiful, intimate bar -- and excellent food and service. Fillet of beef, Robespierre, rösti, wine and salad of oranges. No regrets!

Told by local business people this is the place to eat . Very traditonal with waiters in white jackets and the ancient owner may come out to say hello and she may even sing ! Caught in a time trap . I had baby roast chicken and it just came with fries ,not even home made . My prawn cocktail... More

I love this restaurant. Its like stepping back in time, into a private club, where dressing for dinner isn't compulsory but feels right. There's a small, 'club', bar attached which is great place for a pre dinner drink. In the restaurant, attentive service accompanies a classic menu. Smoked salmon is served in a couple of different ways and, in both... More

This restaurant was recommended by almost everybody who knew we were going to Zurich. It is not cheap, even for Swiss standards, but very well worth your money. We were seated upstairs after coming in from a terrible storm. Our coats were taken and we were given all the time we needed to compose ourselves. I have the Loup de... More

Originator of the traditional Zurich sliced veal with cream sauce dish and roesti, this restaurant is full of original artwork often given to the original owner by the artists themselves. A place with a reputation for feeding artists, writers, politicians and the Swiss economic elite 's movers and shakers......you can still enjoy a traditional Swiss meal and service in a charming... The Kronenhalle is a legend. Art Masterpieces hang on the walls and the Züri-Gschätzlets with Rösti is an institution in Zurich. Very old style and traditional but well worth a visit.

We celebrated our 25th Wedding Aniversary at Kronenhalle. The food was superb - the service was very professional and efficient - and of course...... the bill was big enough to choke a gorilla!!! This is the place to go for that very special event!!!!

I'm still reeling from the bill which even by Zurich standards was eye-watering. The service was rather quaint: white coated and silver service. The food was very good quality institutional fare. All very old school: my octogenarian father would adore it!
