The reviews of this restaurant vary tremendously. We lucked out I guess because the experience was very good for us. You have several choices of cheese fondue based mostly on the strength of the cheeses used. We chose the medium (Moite/Moite). We split one order of fondue and a salad which was enough for the two of us. Service was... More

Dear Barry Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy to have received another objective opinion. The price level of raw products in Switzerland and also the employer labor leads to the fact that our prices seem higher from outside, but as you have mentioned, we are amongst average, even in the lower price segment. We would like... More

We ate here at the recommendation of our hotel. Friendly and very helpful waiter told us to order two and to split them. The roasted lamb dish was wonderful with spaetzl and the Raclette was fantastic (sort of hashbrowns with bacon and covered with melted swiss cheese). The meals came with excellent Asparagus soup and a nice mixed salad. Overall... More

We felt like a fondue the other night and this restaurant awas close to our hotel and was a great experience; typical Swiss atmosphere and a wide choice a Swiss cheese meals. The traditional fondue option was great and is recommended. Cheese every night is a bit much but for the experience, here is a good option in Zurich.

Dear Hershey Of course one must like cheese in order to be a guest at our Restaurant. The room fills up with the odor as soon as some Fondues are ordered. We are all hoping for some sunny days soon, so that we are able to serve other Swiss specialties other than Fondue on our terrace. This way, the cheese... More

Had a very pleasent evening. Service was excellent with a attentive and helpful waiter. The food was good enough and good size portions. Only down point was the beer. There was only one swiss beer on offer and only in a small size.

Dear Duncantraveller Thank you for your comment. Surely we are not famous for our beer, more though for our wine and Swiss specialties. We offer a 5dl Erdinger Weissbier for those who prefer a larger beer. Kind regards Stefan Boller Assistant General Manager More

Try the cheese fondue with ham and mushrooms, very good! The server knew little English but she got the orders correct and was able to somewhat answer our questions and even added suggestions.

Dear Germangirl Thank you for your feedback. You should try our Gentleman’s Fondue with green pepper and mustard. It is a harmonic, spicy mix which does not leave you with a burning after taste, but with the urge for more. We hope to welcome you back again! I visited this restaurant when it was raining but wish I had sat outside! The bad thing about fondue restaurants is that they tend to smell of cheese, and the smell is very strong! That aside the food we tried was excellent and the host was very helpful. We didn't try the cheese fondue but instead tried the meat fondue... More

Dear Alkis_H Thank you for your feedback and your honesty regarding the forgotten beverage. Of course the cheese odor is not for everyone’s liking, but we do all hope for better weather in order for us to use our terrace and serve our Swiss specialties without the aftertaste it brings with it. I was craving fondue and this place hit the spot. Seemed to be a good value and in a cute area. Good quantity of food and the Adler Fondue special was just as imagined (full of cheesy, garlicky goodness). Service was nice and fast. Theme and decor of the place was aligned with the food.

When in Switzerland we had to have some fondue. Located on the main drag of Old Town. Nothing fancy but quite pleasant. Excellent service. Waitress quite helpful in assisting in selection of different fondues. Price well within line for the Old Town Area. If you are looking for fondue this is the place.

With no formal dining plans for the evening, stopped in here for dinner and was given a seat right away. They were a little slow with getting me a menu and taking my order, but I was in no rush.
