Portions in Switzerland are extremely generous so even if you are hearty eaters, I suggest you split things. We ordered cheese fondue served with bread cubes for one person (not 2) to start, then 1 order of veal in cream sauce with rosti potatoes (American hash browns) along with a nice bottle of Le Dezaley (chasselas grape, which pairs perfectly)... Whenever we spend any length of time in Zurich, we always seem to eat at Le Dezaley at least once. Their fondues cannot be beaten. If a restaurant is always busy, it's a good sign, and we find it is essential to book ahead at this venue for that reason. They have great salads and their wine and beer selections... More

Visiting Switzerland for the first time, fondue was my priority. You cannot go wrong here. There are several options, I chose escargots followed by cheese fondue, both of which were delicious and the memory makes my mouth water! I stumbled upon this restaurant, which is in the Old Town, and I would (and have) whole-heartedly recommend to anyone looking for... More

Me, my husband and a cousin discovered this restaurant through the attendant of our hotel. It's a really nice and charming place, with a very good food. We ordered 2 fondues of cheese and 2 of meet. The meet fondue was good, but the cheese was the best one that I've ever had, for sure! The service is very nice,... More

The cheese fondue was perfect ,especially because the cheese was not smelly .But all the other plates were overpriced ,not big quantity and our teenager sons who took the pork steak left hungry I definitely not recommend it if you do not want to have fondue Book a table before you go

Traveling with kids; 9, 9 and 6. Easy to find right off the S Bahn #4 stop Helmhaus. Atmosphere was great, food better and service even better! The 5 of us had a wonderful time.

It is a typical Swiss restaurant with a long tradition in fondue. Great cuisine! The poulet filets stroganoff was really good and the cheese fondue (family recipe) was superb and a great idea for families and friends to share! Well also had the sirloin which was delicious! For those appreciating salads the large mixed salad was very good! Once you... More

Tucked into an alley just north of Grossmunster Church, the powerful aromatic greeting is like a punch in the face. But if you brace yourself and then hold on for about five minutes you will no longer notice the pungent cloud and you can begin to enjoy a long, social evening. The cheese fondue is a "must-do" and the oil... More

This is a busy restaurant we booked beforehand. We had a cheese fondue which was good, we were too full after that to eat anything else. Service was good and efficient. Menu is typical swiss menu.

Although the place and staff were ok, the food was so bad. The wine in the fondue had not been evaporated so the cheese fondue tasted like a bad and cheap glass of wine! The quality of the meat was good but the sauce was so dull - unbelievable. The prices are quite high considering the quality. Do not get... More
