Convenient take-away food

I do not eat in this restaurant because the air ventilation does not work in an optimal way, and the small authentic (green) tea is really over-priced. But I very often enjoy their take-away food, which is still reasonable although the price has been inceasing over the years.

I had the Nooba ramen for dinner, along with some gyoza to start. The gyoza were decent, but most of the flavour came from the miso/wasabi sauce. The Nooba ramen are named after the place (obviously!) and you'd think a signature or eponymous dish would be awesome, to showcase what the restaurant can do. This dish failed dramatically, with doughy... More

I've been to Nooba several times and I think it's fine! Prices are ok, they have a daily menu lunch and they also have a pretty fast service. The bad thing is that it gets crowded and you have to share the table with strangers... Well! Besides that, everything good! Go for the Yaki Soba or the Pad Thai and... More

My chicken fried rice was o.k. as always but something always goes wrong! My Broccoli was undercooked and the Gyoza are defrosted. I wish there was more to this place, i want to love it but can't!

Yes, I know that there are many wonderful restaurants in Zurich, but Nooba became a favorite of mine when I first began traveling to Zurich on business 10 years ago. I always make sure to visit once during each trip. My favorite is the Pad Thai, and I rarely stray from it. Service is always very efficient, and it doesn't... More

When going for an Asian (as if there was one type of Asian food) dinner in Zurich, you have to be aware of two things: 1) the food will never taste even remotely the same as in the country of origin as everything has been sort of "Europeanized", and 2) you pay a premium (which is not always deserved). Regarding... More

Located at the Kreuzplatz near Stadelhofen train station, this Asian inspired noodle restaurant offers a huge patio including parasols and lounge chairs, an attentive service and an appropriate price-quality ratio. PROS: The location is really convenient (near one of Zurichs most busy train stations) and the outside area is a big plus on a hot summer day. The staff is... More

like Wagamama's, only better. It's kind of a mish-mash of Thai and Japanese - very good. Especially good staff.

We came here early on a sat night before it got busy. To our surprise there were a lot of families with young kids and Infants. Staff is friendly and comes to ask a lot if everything's alright. Food is good (and my spicy dish was really spicy) but I think a bit overpriced for size of mains. Also, the... More

Nooba is a very expensive restaurant, why this is the case is difficult to answer. It is clear that the chef has never been to japan nor bothered to find out how these dishes should be prepared. The gyoza comes served with wasabi (?). The yakisoba has no soba and is a bland tasteless pile of fried supermarket noodles. The... More
