great setting, nice food, superb wine list, good value

The wine list is grand and extensive, the menu is not so extensive in choice but the set menu is excellent value (2, 3 or 4 courses available), the service is super friendly, the food was nice - although not superb, admittedly - a bit bland in fact. We dined in the open air garden because the... read more

Enjoyed it and will return. Location The Belvoirpark restaurant is located in an old villa in Belvoirpark, and has a large covered terrace with a view into the park. When we were there, white and pink hydrangeas were in full bloom, makeing for a very nice setting Food During summer, there is a lunch and dinner buffet. The dinner buffet... More

The new Hotel School Belvoirpark opened in October 2014. The excellent restaurants and private rooms are still there. We were with friends here for a visit to the Hotel School, and afterwards had lunch. Everybody was very impressed by the standards of Cuisine and Service. A friendly and attentive team looked after us, and at the same time both the... More

There is one place in Zurich where a couple of waiters and waitresses just take care of you. Of course, the restaurant benefits from the accompanying school, but the student do a really good job. Lunch and dinner are both excellent. Of all I've eaten there two dishes are really extraordinary: Filet Wellington and the "Dessert Wagen". I've been there... More

It was my boyfriend's choice to go there. The place itself pays for the price. Nice room, with good decorations and a wonderful garden. The service give their best to serve us in a way of learning but doing it good. Our waiter was very friendly, though he had some troubles and dropped some plates on the floor after collecting... This restaurant is part of a restaurant mgmt school, but don't let that turn you off. The location is superb, as it is in a stunning old villa in a beautiful park in central Zurich and just a stones throw away from the lake. I have been here for both lunch and a 70th birthday dinner. Lunch is outstanding, especially... More

The Belvoirpark Restaurant is a bit of a strange place; it is a school for students who want to work in the hospitality industry and as such it has a few funky things about it. The decor and service was over-the-top stuffy (they had a cart for EVERYTHING... aperitifs, cheese, dessert, crepes, after dinner drinks...) although the staff were super... More

I'll echo Sasprus - "The food is really excellent: the US beef steak was one of the best in my life. Location and ambience are good as well." (Actually, much better than good! It's in a park.) "Really would recommend both for business lunch and romantic evening. "The only disappointment is a service done by students - should be improved... More

This place is great if you want to dine traditional Swiss food with a modern reinterpretation in a 1900 manor setting. As this used to be the house of Alfred Escher (check wikipedia to learn about him), you will like the atmosphere only if you like carpeted floors, paneled walls and the old villa charm.

The staff were a little over attentive but our food was very good and my wife, who's 30th birthday we were celebrating was presented with a delicious birthday cake which we took away with us.
